SMYRNA, GA, January 23, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Qiu Fang has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Dr. Fang has built a distinguished career at the intersection of education and economics, defined by leadership, innovation, and a deep commitment to community engagement and the preservation of cross-generational and multi-cultural best practices in early childhood education. Since 2013, she has served as Chief Executive Officer of Covered Bridge Montessori School in Smyrna, Georgia. After acquiring the school—originally founded in 1981—Dr. Fang led a comprehensive modernization and operational streamlining initiative. Recognizing the need for technological advancement, she introduced contemporary digital tools and optimized administrative systems, guiding the school's transition from paper-based operations and a basic web presence to a fully integrated, technology-enhanced learning environment. She is deeply committed to village-building—uniting like-hearted educators and families with diversified backgrounds around the shared values of trust, love, and patience—to cultivate an environment where children grow with adaptability, flexibility, and resilience. In addition to leading the flagship campus, Dr. Fang founded Covered Bridge Creativity Inc. in 2022, a Montessori teacher education center where she oversees professional training programs and advances a vision of creativity as a core discipline in early childhood teacher education within the Montessori framework.

Dr. Fang's professional journey spans academia, global policy, financial institutions, and educational leadership, reflecting a career shaped by intellectual rigor, cross-sector experience, and sustained commitment to human development. From 2010 to 2022, she served as an Assistant Professor and Instructor at Clayton State University in the Greater Atlanta area, where she contributed to academic scholarship and teaching across economics and education. Drawing on both research and applied experience, she enriched the university curriculum while mentoring students to think critically about policy, development, and learning systems.

Earlier in her career, from 2003 to 2005, Dr. Fang worked as an Economics Consultant with the Human Development Department of The World Bank in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. There, she supported Millennium Development Goals research initiatives, contributing policy analysis and expertise in human capital development. Her work informed global efforts to advance education, health outcomes, and sustainable economic growth, grounding her academic training in real-world, international development practice.

From 1997 to 1999, Dr. Fang began her professional path as an Assistant Economist at the Agricultural Development Bank of China, where she conducted research and analysis in support of agricultural finance and rural development programs. This early experience provided a foundational understanding of development economics and institutional systems—perspectives that would later inform her work in both higher education and early childhood leadership.

Throughout her career, Dr. Fang has remained actively engaged in professional and industry organizations, including the American Montessori Society (AMS), the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE), the Georgia Association for the Education of Young Children (GAEYC), and the Montessori Administrators Group (MAG). These affiliations reflect her ongoing dedication to advancing educational standards, strengthening teacher preparation, and remaining current with evolving best practices in Montessori education and accreditation.

Dr. Fang's academic preparation has been central to her professional trajectory. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from Utah State University in 2003, developing a strong analytical and research foundation that continues to inform her approach to educational leadership, institutional management, and long-term system level thinking. Complementing this rigorous training, she is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where she deepens her engagement with visual inquiry, material practice, and creative research. This interdisciplinary academic path—bridging economics, education, and fine art—reflects her belief in creativity as an essential mode of learning and a vital force in both personal development and educational innovation.

She attributes her success to formative early-life experiences and coaching from her parents, the guidance of dedicated teachers, professors, mentors, and exceptional colleagues. Her longstanding interest in education ultimately led her to the Montessori community. After being introduced to the founders of Covered Bridge Montessori School, Barbara and Leroy Moffitt—who were seeking a thoughtful and mission-driven successor—Dr. Fang acquired the school following a year-long transition process, marking a pivotal shift from policy and academia to hands-on educational leadership.

Beyond her professional work, Dr. Fang is civically engaged as a volunteer with North Point Community Church, reflecting her commitment to service and community life. She also pursues fine art—particularly painting and wood sculpture—as a creative practice that informs her philosophy of learning and creativity. At the center of her life is her family, as a partner to her husband and one of the two devoted parents to one daughter and one son.

Looking ahead, Dr. Fang is focused on further advancing Covered Bridge Montessori School as a pilot hub for exchanges of best practice in early childhood education and elevating the MACTE-accredited Montessori educator training center by broadening access to educators, parents, grandparents, and caregivers. She envisions a vibrant, intergenerational community space where families can connect through reading circles, playgroups, and small-group programs led by trained facilitators—fostering shared learning, creativity, and mutual support.

Dr. Fang's career reflects an enduring commitment to educational excellence, the holistic development of children and families, and community building at both local and global levels—strengthened by thoughtful leadership and the strategic use of technological innovation.
