Other notable moments in her career include her dual role as an assistant administrator and community support worker where she offered psychiatric rehabilitation services to clients with severe mental illness(es). In these roles, she was responsible for helping clients connect to services including employment, housing, medical and psychiatric services, and forming healthy and meaningful relationships with others while managing their mental health care needs.

Mrs. Coates-Smith professional portfolio also expands into supporting homeless veterans in connecting to resources to gain and maintain adequate housing and healthcare in her role as a program coordinator and case manager.

In her role as a renal care social worker, she offered end stage renal disease support, education, and case management services to both patients and their families while offering hope and light to patients in extending their lives in coordinating transplant services.

She was also successful in obtaining her license in real estate in 2022 and held a position as a realtor at one of the top real estate agencies in the industry, Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Select Properties.
