Mr. Edelblute currently serves as the senior library services manager for user support services at Anaheim Public Library, a position he has held since 2015. In this capacity, he oversees critical aspects of library operations, including supervising library automation, collection support and circulation, as well as managing budgetary and safety concerns. His leadership in these areas has been instrumental in maintaining the library's reputation for excellence and innovation.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Edelblute was the library technology systems administrator at Anaheim Public Library from 2014 to 2015. During this period, he was responsible for the administration and maintenance of the library's technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless access to digital resources and efficient operation of automated systems.

From 2001 to 2014, Mr. Edelblute served as Public Access Systems Coordinator at Anaheim Public Library. In this role, he managed public computing resources and played a pivotal part in advancing the library's technological capabilities, supporting both staff and patrons with innovative technology solutions.

Among Mr. Edelblute's most notable achievements during this time was overseeing the technological planning for the Haskett Branch library renovation project from 2005 to 2006. He directed the demolition of the original 7,000-square-foot building and its replacement with a modern 24,000-square-foot facility. As the individual in charge of technology, Mr. Edelblute meticulously planned the placement of electrical and cable outlets throughout the new space to maximize flexibility for future needs. His foresight ensured that ample electrical and data cabling would be available regardless of evolving furniture designs or technological requirements.

Between 1998 and 2001, Mr. Edelblute contributed as a reference and technology librarian at Anaheim Public Library. He provided expert guidance to patrons seeking information and supported the integration of emerging technologies into library services. Simultaneously, from 2000 to 2010, Mr. Edelblute worked as a part-time reference librarian at Downey City Library. In this capacity, he assisted patrons with research inquiries and contributed to community engagement initiatives.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Edelblute was systems librarian at United States International University from 1994 to 1998. He managed library systems operations and supported academic research through innovative technology solutions. Before this appointment, he served as an acquisitions technician at United States International University from 1993 to 1994, where he facilitated resource procurement and cataloging. Mr. Edelblute began his professional journey as a library assistant I at the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1990 to 1993.

Throughout a distinguished career spanning more than three decades, Mr. Edelblute has established himself as a leading expert in library automation. His dedication to professional growth is reflected in his active memberships in key industry organizations, including the American Library Association, the California Library Association and the International Federation of Library Associations.

Mr. Edelblute's academic background has been integral to his success. He earned a Master of Arts in international relations from United States International University in San Diego in 1998, equipping him with a global perspective on information management. He also holds a Master of Arts in library and informational science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, completed in 1992, following a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of San Diego in 1990.

In addition to his formal education, Mr. Edelblute has obtained several certifications that have enhanced his expertise in technology and project management. He became a CIW web design specialist through the Certified Internet Web Professional program in 2011 and earned a certificate in project management from Villanova University in 2007. Earlier, he achieved Network+ certified professional status through the Computer Technology Industry Association in 2001 and became an A+ certified service technician through The Computer Technology Industry Association in 1998.

Reflecting on his career, Mr. Edelblute attributes his accomplishments to the unwavering support he has received from colleagues and mentors throughout his career, a factor that continues to inspire his ongoing contributions to the field.
