Ms. Kealiikanakaole has established a distinguished career spanning nearly 40 years, marked by her expertise in Hawaii rituals and indigenous knowledge. Since 2013, she has served as the chief executive officer of Lonoa Honua LLC, where she works closely with conservation professionals and leads weekend workshops that foster a deeper understanding of ecological stewardship. Ms. Kealiikanakaole's leadership at Lonoa Honua LLC is characterized by a commitment to integrating traditional Hawaiian values with contemporary environmental practices.

In 2022, Ms. Kealiikanakaole expanded her impact as the chief creative officer in a self-employed capacity, further advancing her creative vision and influence within the field of indigenous knowledge systems. Prior to these roles, she contributed significantly as a Hawaiian studies teacher and coordinator, where she played an instrumental role in curriculum development and cultural education.

A significant milestone in Ms. Kealiikanakaole's professional journey was her role as the co-creator of Hawaii Life Styles, a culturally rooted professional development and training space known as I Ola Haloa. This initiative reflects her dedication to creating formal yet distinctly Hawaiian environments that unite professionals from medicine, psychiatry, business and farming. Through I Ola Haloa, Ms. Kealiikanakaole has enabled participants to explore their relationships with nature and their contributions to a healthy ecology, underscoring her commitment to holistic community well-being and the perpetuation of Hawaiian culture.

Ms. Kealiikanakaole received a Bachelor of Arts in Hawaiian studies from the University of Hawaii at Hilo in 1994, followed by a Master of Education from Heritage University in 1997. She has also delivered keynote addresses at major conferences, including the Hawaii Conservation Alliance Conference in 2018, further establishing her as a thought leader in conservation and cultural preservation.

Ms. Kealiikanakaole attributes her accomplishments to persistence, deep curiosity, and a sense of wonder about the world and others' perspectives. Inspired by her grandmother's mantra to "teach everyone," she remains dedicated to sharing cultural knowledge and helping Native Hawaiians reconnect with their identity and contributions.

Looking ahead, Ms. Kealiikanakaole is focused on protecting and restoring Hawaii's native forests and bird populations through nonprofit fundraising and conservation efforts. She is collaborating with numerous federal, state, county, and non-profit organizations to preserve forest lands and create ecological corridors linking highland forests to lowland farming areas through Hawai'i lifeways. A significant focus of her work is saving the endangered 'Ohi'a lehua tree, which is vital to the island's ecosystems and water cycles, but has been devastated by fungal disease. Ms. Kealiikanakaole's ongoing goal is to regenerate these forest landscapes while strengthening the connection between community, culture and nature.
