EVANSVILLE, IN, January 28, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lora Melone-Elliott has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Melone-Elliott is a distinguished figure in venue management and currently serves as the Director of Victory Theatre with Venuworks. Since 2022, she has held oversight of the Victory Theatre facility operations; including responding to requests from the Signature School for academic functions and assemblies, managing communications, booking events, working with the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra and cultivating relationships with agents and promoters. In her leadership role, Mrs. Melone-Elliott leverages deep expertise in production booking and music, which has proven critical to elevating the theater's profile within the music community.

A defining milestone in Ms. Melone-Elliott's career was her leadership in the restoration of the Victory Theatre's marquee. The project, which began in the 1990s with the theater's initial renovation and the formation of the original Friends of Victory group, spanned nearly three decades. Each Director of Victory Theatre under Venuworks management has contributed to its progress: the first re-established the theater's nonprofit status, while her predecessor led fundraising efforts. Subsequently, Mrs. Melone-Elliott coordinated the installation of the replica marquee, helped to design the corresponding donor wall, organized a memorable lighting ceremony, and restored over 100 years of lost history to Evansville's community. She also reconnected the remaining legacy Friends of Victory Theatre supporters. Witnessing the marquee illuminated stands as her most significant professional achievement and a testament to her dedication to her community.

Before advancing to her current role, Mrs. Melone-Elliott gained valuable experience in venue management with Venuworks when she joined a newly opened downtown arena, the Ford Center, across from Victory Theatre in 2011. Initially working in suites and catering as well as backstage hospitality, she quickly developed a passion for live events and concerts. For approximately five years, she focused on food and beverage services before transitioning into operations as Event Manager at Victory Theatre in late 2016. This position marked her entry into event management and operations, where she began learning production and overseeing event logistics. Notably, Mrs. Melone-Elliott is recognized as the first and only part-time employee to advance to a director-level position within her organization—a reflection of her determination and work ethic.

In her professional capacity, Mrs. Melone-Elliott relies on early-life engagement with music. She began formal study of piano at age four, then trained as a classical, competitive pianist. Mrs. Melone-Elliott's artistry earned her a student position with the National Piano Guild, and her creative profile also includes expertise in French horn and percussion melodics as well as performing in various competitions throughout high school.

Driven to serve, Mrs. Melone-Elliott has volunteered with the Friends of Victory, the National Museum of African American History, and local community events in Evansville. She has also humbly participated in initiatives honoring Martin Luther King Jr. by hosting a show featuring local African American musicians. To achieve balance, she values time spent with her husband and family, as well as sporting events and concerts.

As she looks toward the future, Mrs. Melone-Elliott aims to further enhance the Friends of Victory by providing local musicians with opportunities to perform within Victory Theatre, both as support acts and the ability to host their own shows, and she will persist in creating platforms for artists to showcase their talents beyond traditional stage performances. In an effort to continue this mission she has established partnerships with businesses within the Haynes Corner Arts District, a place where many local musicians come to perform. Lora continues to embrace her growth in the Venue Management and has no plans of slowing down or moving on from the industry.
