Since 2013, she has been affiliated with The Bath Remodeling Center, doing business as Portofino Tile in Cary, North Carolina, where she served as Project Manager through 2023 before becoming owner in 2024. In her leadership roles, she has overseen all aspects of the business, including meeting with clients for initial consultations in their homes, conducting one-on-one design sessions, reviewing materials in showrooms and signing contracts. Her responsibilities also encompass managing financial operations, seeking out vendors, hiring and training staff and supervising project managers, office assistants, design interns and field staff. She is committed to maintaining a dedicated team by ensuring employees have regular full-time hours.

In April 2024, Ms. Fella became the owner of The Bath Remodeling Center, marking a significant milestone in her professional journey. Under her direction, the company has continued to thrive and innovate within the industry. Among her most notable achievements is being featured in Architectural Digest in 2024. This prestigious feature stands as a major milestone and source of pride.

Prior to her affiliation with The Bath Remodeling Center, Ms. Fella was an interior designer at PS Micaza Interiors in Merrick, New York, from 1999 to 2010. She began her tenure with the firm while still pursuing her academic studies and contributed to residential projects on Long Island. After approximately three and a half years with the company, she took time away from her career to focus on her family following her marriage and the birth of her son. She later returned to PS Micaza Interiors for an additional four years before relocating to North Carolina.

Ms. Fella's professional accomplishments have been recognized through numerous awards and honors. Most notably, in 2025, she received the Excellence in Design Raleigh - Bathed in Luxury award from Architectural Digest. Her work was further acknowledged with a gold award for Best Kitchen and Bath Remodeler from The News & Observer in 2024, as well as a bronze award for Best Remodeler Contractor from the same publication that year. Additionally, Cary Magazine named her Best Home Builder and Best Home Renovation Specialist in 2024.

Educationally, Ms. Fella holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in interior design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, which she completed in 2003. She further advanced her professional credentials in 2020 by earning her NASCLA General Contractor's License Certification. Beyond her formal education, she attributes her success to her strong work ethic, drive and perseverance, shaped by humble beginnings. She remains committed to encouraging others within the industry by sharing knowledge and supporting networking among business owners, particularly women in the construction and design fields.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Ms. Fella enjoys reading, listening to music and playing trivia. She is also devoted to her family as a parent of two children. Looking ahead, she plans to expand The Bath Remodeling Center's offerings to include kitchens and closets, while remodeling the showroom to feature an expansive kitchen display. She also envisions growing the company's footprint beyond its current 3,000-square-foot design center in downtown Cary by developing a larger facility to accommodate additional vendors specializing in areas such as carpeting and lighting. Through these efforts, she aims to create a comprehensive design center that fosters collaboration among multiple trades under one roof.
