FORT MYERS, FL, January 30, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jasmine M. Pagano, MS, CHES, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Currently serving as the Supervisor of Wellness Programs at the David Lawrence Centers (DLC) for Behavioral Health, Mrs. Pagano has established herself as a dedicated leader in primary prevention and health education. Ensuring consistent quality and adherence to evidence-based practices, she oversees all day-to-day operations of the Wellness Program Specialists, provides training, mentoring and ongoing professional development for her team, and facilitates programming, trainings and presentations on behavioral health topics, current trends, prevention strategies and community resources.
Alongside her primary responsibilities, Mrs. Pagano leads the planning, implementation and expansion of key initiatives such as Seeds of Kindness, Rooted to Rise, Beyond the Branches and Active Parenting programs, all with the goal of providing information and resources to help youth and adults alike achieve positive long-term health outcomes. Collaborating closely with leadership and key members of the DLC Wellness Institute, she identifies emerging needs, evolving initiatives and new partnership opportunities with schools and community organizations. She also participates in regional and statewide prevention meetings, trainings and webinars to remain informed on best practices.
Prior to reaching her current role at the David Lawrence Centers, Mrs. Pagano excelled as the Supervisor of Prevention Services from 2023 to 2026, during which she guided a team focused on delivering prevention programming throughout the community. Her leadership contributed to the department's successful rebranding into wellness programs, aligning more closely with community needs while maintaining continuity with her team and director.
In 2021, Mrs. Pagano joined the David Lawrence Centers as a Prevention Specialist for two years. She engaged with youth in discussions about healthy coping skills, decision making and goal setting, equipping them with the essential tools to navigate peer pressure and life stressors while avoiding substance use or self-destructive behaviors. Her outstanding leadership during this time saw her recognized with the Above and Beyond Award in 2023.
Mrs. Pagano began her professional journey as a Health Educator at the Florida Department of Health in Collier County from 2020 to 2021. In this foundational role, she provided vital health education services to diverse populations within the county.
In addition to her work at the David Lawrence Centers, Mrs. Pagano has been an Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Health Sciences at Florida Gulf Coast University since 2022, imparting her expertise to students while remaining actively involved in academic development.
Mrs. Pagano's commitment to making a difference in public health and health education is further reflected in her active memberships with the Society for Public Health Education, the American School Health Association, the American Public Health Association and the Florida Public Health Association. Furthermore, she is affiliated with Eta Sigma Gamma — where she was honored with the National Scholarship Key Award in 2022 — as well as Phi Eta Sigma, The National Society of Leadership and Success, and the Golden Key International Honour Society.
Hailing from an equally accomplished educational background, Mrs. Pagano is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy at the University of Florida with an anticipated graduation of August 2027. She earned a Master of Science in Health Education and Behavior from the University of Florida in 2022 after graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2020.
Mrs. Pagano's academic journey also included an internship at the Florida Department of Health in Lee County, where she contributed to the Aging Coalition and assisted in creating a community needs assessment as part of Lee County's efforts toward AARP certification as an aging-friendly county.
Widely recognized for her impact as a student and beyond at Florida Gulf Coast University, Mrs. Pagano has been presented with several accolades from the institution including the Soaring Eagle Award from the Alumni Association in 2026 and the Chapter Advisor of the Year Award from the Panhellenic Association in 2024.
Dedicated to the ideals of continuous learning and professional growth, Mrs. Pagano holds several certifications that underscore her expertise in health care and serving those in need. She is certified as both an Adult Mental Health First Aid instructor and Youth Mental Health First Aid instructor by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, and is a Certified Health Education Specialist by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing.
Reflecting on her storied journey to date, Mrs. Pagano credits the unwavering love and support of her mother — who instilled resilience by encouraging her never to accept limitations — as a driving force behind her accomplishments. Her brother has also played a significant role as both supporter and inspiration; being an older sister has motivated her to set a positive example through her actions and achievements alike.
Beyond her professional roles, Mrs. Pagano has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to civic engagement through leadership positions such as President and Secretary of Eta Sigma Gamma at University of Florida between 2021-2022; Secretary for Chi Omega at Florida Gulf Coast University in 2019; and Recruitment Counselor for the National Panhellenic Conference at Florida Gulf Coast University in 2018. She is also known for her devotion to helping others through mentorship, as the Personnel Advisor for Chi Omega at Florida Gulf Coast University since 2024 and Student Mentor for Champions for Learning since 2024.
Mrs. Pagano's accomplishments in public health and health education have seen her recognized with numerous accolades over the years. She was honored with the Most Influential Women Award from Influential Women in 2025, the Robert Synovitz Emerging Professional Award from the American School Health Association in 2023, and the Master of Science Student of the Year Award from the Department of Health Education and Behavior at the University of Florida in 2022. Additionally, she was recognized by the Nancy Walton Laurie Leadership Institute of Chi Omega in 2019, which provides young women with leadership education and training to prepare them to become trailblazers in their chosen field of work.
Happily married and a dedicated family woman, Mrs. Pagano enjoys hobbies such as crocheting, reading and exercising as a balance to her professional commitments.
Determined to further her impact in the coming years, Mrs. Pagano aims to positively impact every person in Southwest Florida through educational initiatives led by the DLC Wellness Institute. To complement this goal, she also seeks to advance within higher education by taking on greater responsibilities beyond her current Adjunct Faculty role, allowing her experiences to guide her future endeavors as she continues making meaningful contributions within public health and health education and throughout the State of Florida.
