From 2001 to 2008, he was senior vice president of business development at Paradigm Health, focusing on neonatal care management and complex care management within the health care delivery system.
From 1997 to 2001, Mr. Patton served as vice president of sales at Ins Web, an internet-based insurance marketplace. There, he was responsible for building out the health and life insurance sectors by leveraging his extensive knowledge of industry players nationwide. His earlier experience includes four years as vice president of marketing at Runzheimer International from 1993 to 1997, where he contributed to data analytics and cost-of-living research on a global scale.
Between 1985 and 1992, Mr. Patton was vice president of marketing at Time Insurance Company, where he led marketing initiatives for health insurance products. He began his professional journey as a senior group underwriter and then director of sales at Employers Health Insurance from 1980 to 1985.
Mr. Patton's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in business administration and finance from Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin, earned in 1980. His early entrepreneurial ventures during high school and college – operating tutoring and painting businesses – helped fund his education and fostered a lifelong interest in business development. He credits his success to strong family values instilled by his hardworking parents in a conservative Catholic household, supportive grandparents and the good fortune of having had many influential mentors throughout his career.

He is an Eagle Scout, a member of Life Church and has contributed time to several business mentorship programs. He is also a licensed minister for twelve years.
On a personal level, Mr. Patton was born in Milwaukee and enjoys spending time outdoors, following the Green Bay Packers, walking, and hiking with his dogs and partner, fishing, traveling in a camper van and hunting. He is dedicated to his family; his son, Patrick, serves as president and chief operating officer at Prescription Analytics (previously president at Stewart Peterson, Inc.), while his daughter is vice president of operations, with technology and operational expertise from her background in the banking machine industry. His youngest daughter works in the energy sector related to nuclear power plants and has launched her own business venture.
Mr. Patton takes pride in having performed many weddings as a licensed minister-including those of his two daughters-and has remodeled approximately seven homes for himself or his children.
