From 2008 to 2011, he excelled as the managing director at Marcum LLP, where he hosted the television program The Marcum Report and featured business professionals and attorneys to discuss topics relevant to his field. Earlier in his career, Mr. Balla was a partner with Rosenfarb Winters from 1985 to 2011, and he contributed his expertise during the formative years of his professional journey.
Mr. Balla's reputation in forensic accounting is underscored by several high-profile assignments. He appeared on Dateline NBC to investigate televangelist Benny Hinn and previously conducted an investigation for the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance into a failed health maintenance organization insurance company. Mr. Balla is proud that his work on this case revealed that the owner had been funneling money to Al-Qaeda, and he counts these efforts as a testament to his investigative acumen.
In addition to his professional roles in accounting and finance, Mr. Balla was elected mayor of the borough of Watchung, New Jersey, where he served from 2019 to 2022.
