Prior to launching her own ventures, Dezerae served as an office assistant at Carroll Accounting and Tax Services LLC from 2023 to 2024. In this role, she gained valuable experience in financial administration and office management, further broadening her professional skill set.

From 2018 to 2023, Dezerae held several progressive positions at Cabin Coffee Company, beginning as a barista and advancing through roles as trainer, store manager, head trainer and ultimately training performance analyst serving as a field consultant. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in strengthening the company's brand and operational structure by developing three comprehensive training programs: a certified training program for employees to learn how to train, a traveling trainer's program for new store openings, and a leadership development program designed to empower team members to lead themselves and others effectively. The leadership development initiative proved especially beneficial for underperforming stores by instilling confidence and accountability among staff. Her consulting experience at Cabin Coffee Company provided the foundation for her current work in business consulting.

Dezerae began her career at Buffalo Wild Wings Inc., where she worked as a server, cook and bartender for four years. After graduating from high school, she started as a server, then transitioned into kitchen roles, deepening her understanding of food preparation and service processes. She became a certified trainer by studying the required materials and passing a knowledge assessment, eventually training new employees at various locations.

Dezerae's academic background includes an Associate of Arts degree in Business Management from North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City, Iowa. She is currently enrolled to pursue a bachelor's degree in finance, furthering her expertise in business operations and financial strategy.

Throughout her career, Dezerae had faced many challenges - both personally and professionally - and had many opportunities to throw in the towel. It was the love and support from her husband that kept her going. Additionally, the mentorship and encouragement she received from franchise owners Brad and Angie at Cabin Coffee Company provided invaluable support as she navigated new responsibilities and developed innovative training solutions.

Dezerae's professional achievements have been recognized through honors such as being featured among Influential Women in 2025. She is also actively involved with Junior Chamber International in Clear Lake, Iowa, where she serves as vice president. Her civic engagement extends to organizing fundraising initiatives for local non-profit organizations.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Dezerae enjoys crocheting, spending time with her child, and listening to music. Looking ahead, she is focused on expanding Phoenix Rise Enterprise, LLC while pursuing her bachelor's degree in finance.
