BROOKLYN, NY, February 04, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rose D. Hellman has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Marked by a steadfast commitment to community well-being and compassionate leadership, Ms. Hellman has built a distinguished career spanning four decades in the nursing home and health care industry. Since 2011, she has overseen operations as the Assistant Administrator and Executive Director at New Franklin Center for Rehab and Nursing in Flushing, New York.
In her leadership role, Ms. Hellman supports the Nursing Home Administrator and manages a medical model adult day care program that provides essential services to individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those in shelters or on Medicaid, the elderly and people facing psychological challenges. Under her direction, Franklin Center offers daily door-to-door transport, dietary, recreation, physical therapy and psycho-social services, enabling clients to maintain their independence and avoid unnecessary nursing home placement. Leading a multidisciplinary team of Licensed Nurses, Social Workers, Recreation Specialists, Dietary Professionals and a team of top notch drivers, she has long been dedicated to supporting functional independence within her community.
Concurrently to her early years as an Administrator-in-Training at Split Rock Nursing Home in the Bronx, Ms. Hellman was an executive sales representative with Crown Geriatrics Corp. and Caretech Group, from 1986 to 2011. Her duties during this time included governmental regimented dietary programming, promoting medical supplies, wound care and enteral-feeding products as the companies expanded into nursing homes, managing sales contracts abroad and human resources. Although she was encouraged to establish her own transportation company, in later years, she chose instead to remain and focus on her growing administrative responsibilities and commitment of service to the Queens NY community, in need, at New Franklin Adult Day.
From 2011 to 2012, Ms. Hellman served as a Sales Representative for Visalus, Body By Vi, where she contributed to health and wellness initiatives. The previous year, she held the position of admissions and concierge at Split Rock Nursing Home, facilitating patient intake and providing support services.
Ms. Hellman began her professional journey in 1985 as a computer consultant for a dietary company that evolved through several entities over more than two decades. Her role gradually expanded from technology consulting to sales representation in specialized medical fields as the organization transitioned into nursing home services, which laid much of the groundwork for her successful shift into administrative health care leadership.
Alongside her work at New Franklin Center, Ms. Hellman is the owner of Sparklers LLC, an online jewelry business she operates from her home. Taking great joy in designing engagement rings, she aspires to pass the business on to her grandchild in the future.
Ms. Hellman's career is further distinguished by her candidacy in New York's 2025 mayoral race as a write-in candidate against Mayor Zohran Mamdani after being invited by Curtis Sliwa to join his campaign. Although she did not win the election due to missing the formal filing deadline, her campaign inspired others — including a write-in candidate who later expressed interest in collaborating with her on community initiatives.
Recognized for outstanding leadership ever since her youth, Ms. Hellman served as senior class president of her high school and received accolades for promoting progress through justice. Her academic background also includes a Bachelor of Science in computer science with minors in psychology, accounting and nutrition from Brooklyn College. Following her divorce and after raising her four children — her most cherished accomplishment — she returned to school to pursue further credentials that would enable her advancement into health care administration.
To augment her higher education, Ms. Hellman was certified as a licensed health administrator by Saint Joseph's College and has been a licensed nursing home administrator in the state of New York, since 2013. She also holds a teaching license and is certified as a notary public — a commission she obtained while working in medical supplies, at the encouragement of her employer.
Reflecting on her storied journey to date, Ms. Hellman credits her parents' love and support for instilling in her the values of education and perseverance. She believes that aligning one's career with their personal strengths transforms their work into a source of genuine fulfillment rather than obligation.
Also known for lending her time to civic-minded initiatives, Ms. Hellman volunteers with various charities — including Jewish organizations that send baked goods or candies to children — and participates in fundraising efforts that provide financial assistance for those less fortunate. Additionally, she visits hospitals to offer comfort to sick patients, especially those battling cancer, as well as their families.
A proud mother of four and devoted family woman, Ms. Hellman delights in spending time with her grandchildren, creating social media videos with them, and going shopping with friends. Looking toward the future, she plans to support Christine Fontanelli should she pursue public office and is prepared to serve as deputy if called upon. She is also considering relocating abroad to Israel, where real estate opportunities have been presented by local brokers.
Ms. Hellman's enduring legacy is defined by her dedication to helping others achieve independence and dignity while fostering positive change within her community, all through her steadfast professional excellence, personal compassion and dedication to family values.
