MIAMI, FL, February 04, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Nima Soofi has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Marked by a series of progressive roles that underscore his expertise in directing meaningful documentaries, Mr. Soofi has built a prominent career of two decades in the film and media industries. Since 2008, he has served as director and chief editor at Qube Film – a boutique creative production firm located on Fifth Avenue in New York City – where he has demonstrated exceptional skill in crafting compelling visual narratives from pre-production through to completion. Notably, Qube Film recognizes the importance of compelling storytelling and takes a documentary approach to advertising work for corporate clients. The company also produces films for Lifetime and Hallmark, focusing on both scripted romances and unscripted documentaries.
Among its myriad of corporate videos, documentaries, movies and promotional videos, Qube Film has released documentaries such as "Women of Iran," "Carbyne," "Ice Breaking," "Opera's Vanishing Voices," "The Journey to Happiness," and "Namibia," among others. Notably, Qube Film was nominated for 40 awards for its production of the documentary film "The Journey to Happiness," now available on Prime Video, which also won the Best Documentary Feature award from the Impact Docs Awards and the IndieFEST Film Awards in 2021, in addition to the Best Message award from the Great Message International Film Festival and Best Documentary Feature Film award from the Five Continents International Film Festival in 2021. "Women of Iran" was also nominated for the Cinema for Peace award for women's empowerment in 2025 and nominated for Best Documentary by the Miami Film Festival in 2024.
Mr. Soofi's tenure at Qube Film is highlighted by his most notable achievement to date, the documentary "Voices of Haiti." For this project, he traveled to Haiti to facilitate the journey of 25 children to a concert with the famous Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli at Radio City Music Hall. He holds this accomplishment in high regard due to his deep respect for Mr. Bocelli and the foundation's mission – to provide resources and opportunities for children and teachers living in poverty – as well as his passion for the documentary's message and purpose. Mr. Soofi was also a producer on the acclaimed 2011 film "Transparency," which was nominated for Best Feature Length Drama at the 2011 Leo Awards.
Throughout his career, Mr. Soofi has been recognized for his creative excellence and impactful storytelling. Early in his journey, he won the Judges' Selection for "Green Light" at the Zoom 48-Hour Student Film Festival in 2003 and received top honors at Kodak's One Minute Motion Picture Film Contest during the Vancouver International Film Festival.
Much of Mr. Soofi's success in production and business leadership stems from his equally accomplished academic background, which includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts in cinematography and film from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, Canada, in 2012. Before venturing onto his vocational path, he completed diplomas in 3D animation and visual effects, as well as in film production, at the Vancouver Film School, where he was awarded a scholarship. To further enhance his credentials, he was certified in entrepreneurship by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2018. Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Soofi is civically engaged as a sponsor of Chernobyl Children International, which continues to aid the children and families affected by the 1986 nuclear disaster.
With deep roots in Tehran, Iran, Mr. Soofi's personal journey has been shaped by diverse cultural influences and experiences. He credits much of his success to his family's support and emphasizes the importance of maintaining openness to different cultures and societies. As someone who identifies with both the LGBTQ+ community and a minority religious background from a less mainstream Middle Eastern country, he values inclusivity and understanding across various identities and beliefs. His extensive travels during his 20s fostered friendships around the world and deepened his curiosity about people, languages, religions and sexualities – qualities that have made him more open-minded and attentive to others.
Determined to further his impact, Mr. Soofi aims to produce meaningful documentaries on topics that inspire others to share their stories, while expanding his client base by applying documentary storytelling techniques to new narratives. Additionally, he has written a film script for which he is currently seeking funding. His international journey reflects both technical mastery and an unwavering commitment to authentic storytelling and cultural engagement within the global film community and beyond.
