His responsibilities included instructing undergraduate and graduate students, developing course materials and contributing to the academic growth of the institution.

In 2024, Dr. Guglielmo held the position of people and culture generalist at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Miami, Florida. In this role, he was responsible for supporting organizational development initiatives and fostering a positive workplace culture. From 2016 to 2022, he was the manager of the United States stores for Vilebrequin, where he oversaw retail operations across all US locations, managed teams, and implemented strategies to drive sales performance.

Dr. Guglielmo's earlier career includes serving as district manager for GUESS?, Inc. in Miami, Florida from 2003 to 2013. There, he supervised several retail stores within the region and developed expertise in team leadership and operational management. He began his professional journey in retail management with various companies from 1998 to 2003. These formative years provided him with foundational skills in customer service, sales and personnel supervision.

A significant milestone in Dr. Guglielmo's career is his achievement of earning a Doctorate of Business Administration from Chapman Graduate School of Business at Florida International University in 2024 at age 50. This accomplishment marked the culmination of an unconventional academic journey that began when he first attended college at age 18 but did not complete his studies at that time.

The decision to return to academia later in life led Dr. Guglielmo to earn a Bachelor of Arts in liberal arts and sciences from Florida International University in 2014, followed by a Master of Science in human resource management from Chapman Graduate School of Business at Florida International University in 2015. His determination to fulfill his lifelong aspiration of teaching at the collegiate level was realized through years of perseverance while balancing a demanding retail career.

Dr. Guglielmo's commitment to professional development is evident through a range of specialized certifications, including the AI for Higher Ed Endorsement from ACUE, SHRM Senior Certified Professional and multiple AI-focused credentials from Miami Dade College in 2025, such as Microsoft Copilot Educator, AI Implementation Leader, and MDC AI-Ready Faculty. He has also earned several Quality Matters certifications in areas like learner assessment, course design evaluation, and connecting learning theories to teaching strategies, as well as the Effective Teaching Practice Framework certification from ACUE in 2024.

Throughout his career, Dr. Guglielmo has maintained active membership in a range of professional and academic organizations. These include French American Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, and the International Society for Human Resource Management. He is also a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Beta Gamma Sigma, and Psi Chi. Additional affiliations include Delta Epsilon Iota, the Golden Key International Honour Society and Future Business Leaders of America.

Born in Goshen, Dr. Guglielmo credits his success to a strong support system and the work ethic of his parents, whose limited educational opportunities inspired his determination. As a first-generation college student, he overcame obstacles through persistence and focus. His passion for education grew as he advanced in retail management, where he developed leadership skills and a desire to mentor others. This drive eventually led him to higher education, where he now empowers future generations through teaching.

Outside his professional pursuits, Dr. Guglielmo enjoys cooking, street photography, biking, and caring for his dogs. Looking ahead, he intends to grow and enhance the human resource management program at Miami Dade College by expanding its curriculum to increase competitiveness among local institutions and attract more students. Dr. Guglielmo also plans to continue his research endeavors with the goal of publishing work in peer-reviewed academic journals, building on the research conducted during his doctoral studies.
