Michelle Weston has been recognized by Marquis Who's Who for exceptional leadership and innovation across the information technology, cybersecurity, and enterprise services industries. With a career spanning global roles in development, offering management, sales, strategy, and technology innovation, Michelle has consistently shaped industry defining solutions for some of the world's largest and most complex organizations.

Currently serving as a global Vice President at Kyndryl, the world's largest IT infrastructure services provider, Michelle leads the Proposition Excellence Center within Kyndryl Consult. In this role, she guides the development of compelling value propositions that elevate customer engagement and drive the company's global growth strategy. Her work emphasizes clarity, relevance, and business outcomes for customers navigating transformation across cloud, cyber resilience, AI, and modernization initiatives.

Michelle has built a reputation for translating complex technologies into actionable business value and for enabling cross functional teams to deliver consistent, differentiated customer experiences. She is known for a deep commitment to customer impact and for articulating how mission critical infrastructure, consulting expertise, and next generation technologies address the most pressing challenges facing enterprises around the world.

Prior to joining Kyndryl Consult, she served a pivotal role in shaping Kyndryl's leadership in cyber resilience. As the global Offering leader for Security and Resiliency, Michelle developed an expansive services portfolio and collaborated with major ecosystem partners—including Microsoft, AWS, and Cisco—to co create differentiated service offerings. Her efforts helped position Kyndryl as a recognized market leader, strengthened Kyndryl's go-to-market efforts with strategic alliances, and introduced innovative approaches for delivering and commercializing advanced services.

In 2024, Michelle was named a Kyndryl Principal, a distinction reserved for technical leaders who have achieved breakthroughs in their fields and who mentor rising talent across the organization. This recognition reflects Michelle's long standing commitment to innovation, customer centric design, and the responsible advancement of transformative technologies.

Prior to joining Kyndryl, Michelle spent more than two decades at IBM, building a uniquely diverse career spanning IBM Research, corporate strategy, software, and services. Early in her career, Michelle contributed to groundbreaking advancements in microelectronics, including the first major redesign of transistor materials in 40 years—enabling the proliferation of mobile and handheld computing devices with significantly extended battery life. Her work in plasma science and materials chemistry resulted in more than 40 U.S. patents and as many publications.

A developmental rotation in IBM's corporate headquarters expanded Michelle's experience, where she supported the chairman and IBM's global technical leadership team on long range technology strategy. During this tenure, Michelle was promoted to Senior Technical Staff Member—an appointment made by IBM's technical executive board.

Michelle then transitioned into IBM Software Group, where she managed the global Storage Software portfolio, including market leading data protection and data management products that generated approximately $1B in annual revenue. Later, as the Global Channel Sales leader for the same portfolio, she strengthened IBM's partner ecosystem and drove commercial performance worldwide.

Michelle deepened her expertise in resiliency and cyber recovery as the global portfolio leader for IBM Business Resiliency Services. During her tenure, Michelle expanded the portfolio and pioneered new Cyber Incident Recovery solutions that helped define the modern approach to cyber resilient operations. Michelle's strategic leadership was instrumental during the spinoff and IPO that created Kyndryl, where she was subsequently promoted to Vice President of Global Offerings for Security and Resiliency.

Across every chapter of her career, Michelle has demonstrated exceptional adaptability, resilience, and commitment to continuous learning. She recognizes that market shaping disruptions—such as quantum computing and agentic AI—will redefine the next decade of innovation, and she continues to explore the intersection of these emerging technologies with infrastructure, software, services, and organizational transformation.

Michelle is deeply committed to leadership development and employee engagement. Known for leading with trust, empathy, and integrity, she cultivates high performing global teams and mentors emerging leaders—particularly women and individuals from historically underrepresented groups in STEM. Throughout their career, she has remained active in civic organizations, STEM education, and community mentorship.

A scientist by training, Michelle earned a PhD in chemistry with a specialization in plasma chemistry and materials science. Her academic research explored low temperature plasma modification of polymers used in filtration and biomedical applications. This work was published in multiple scientific journals and earned Michelle the Russell C. Varian Award from the American Vacuum Society. Michelle's first patented and licensed technology, created as a graduate student, was adopted by a membrane technology company for use in pharmaceutical processing.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Michelle is an advocate for expanding access to science and technology careers for future generations. Her family shares a passion for innovation and education, including her spouse who also specializes in cyber resilience and her daughter who is studying to be a STEM teacher.

Looking ahead, Michelle plans to continue advancing strategic innovation within Kyndryl Consult, with a focus on data, AI, and the next wave of technology driven transformation that will shape the global enterprise landscape.
