SEATTLE, WA, February 12, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- George Varghese has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
An award-winning artist, producer and studio founder, George is best known for his work at the intersection of music, storytelling, and audio-visual technical innovation. Originally from India and now based in Seattle, he has built a reputation for his distinctive instrumental rock guitar style—one that blends technical precision with emotional depth. His work has captivated audiences globally while pushing the boundaries of contemporary music production.
In 2014, George founded Verge Studios, a creative space designed to make high-quality audio and video production accessible to independent artists. Built on the belief that talent should not be limited by resources, the studio offers comprehensive recording, mixing, editing, and production services in a welcoming and affordable environment. Since then, Verge Studios has supported nearly 400 artists, many of whom have gone on to reach significant milestones, including performances at prestigious venues, video and recording deals with established labels, and Grammy nominations.
Expanding his commitment to the creative community, George launched Spotlight Studio in November 2023—an intimate performance and production venue built to capture high-quality video productions and live events. The space encourages artists who might otherwise keep their work private to step into the spotlight, helping them create professional content that reaches wider audiences and attracts industry attention.
George's expertise spans music production, videography, audio engineering, and AV technical production. His role as a featured artist on the Grammy-nominated album Pangea in 2022 stands as a testament to his pursuit of excellence.
Before fully dedicating himself to music production, George spent over 2 decades in the technology sector, including leadership roles in fast-paced startup environments such as Placed and experience at Microsoft. George's blend of technical expertise and artistic vision gives him a distinctive edge, enabling him to approach the music industry with a uniquely informed and creative perspective.
His musical journey began long before his professional studio career. A lifelong guitarist, George performed extensively across India before relocating to the United States. As musical trends shifted away from guitar-centric genres, he began focusing on recording and production—eventually refining his craft through hands-on learning and an internship at Seattle's renowned Robert Lang Studio, where artists such as Pearl Jam amd Nirvana have recorded. This experience shaped his mission to create professional yet accessible recording opportunities for independent musicians.
George's work has earned numerous accolades, including Best Guitar Player at numerous contests across India, Best Music Studio by the Seattle Award Program, Grand Prize Winner at The John Lennon Songwriting Contest, multiple Global Music Awards, Hollywood Music in Media Awards, Akademia Music Awards, and the Saregama - Band Special Award in 2000, the Indian equivalent of America's Got Talent —an honor especially close to his heart, as his band was featured on national television in India.
More recently, George has been the creative force behind numerous large-scale productions and high-profile events, including cultural festivals such as the Ganesha Festival, which attracts over 50,000 attendees, as well as the prestigious U.S. Indian Consulate productions that celebrate the richness of Indian culture. His work has been broadcast across multiple news channels, reaching wide audiences and bringing a sense of connection to India, the motherland, for communities here in the U.S. These projects underscore his ability to blend artistic vision with technical expertise while fostering cultural pride and visibility.
George has worked alongside Grammy-winning artists such as Ricky Kej and Wouter Kellerman, contributing as both a musician and videographer on projects of global significance. A member of the Recording Academy since 2016, George has also served on its Producers and Engineers Board since 2020, and actively supports nonprofit organizations dedicated to advancing the arts and culture.
Deeply inspired by his mother's musical talent, George credits his family and friends for their unwavering support over the years. Looking ahead, he envisions expanding into a larger venue capable of hosting live events while continuing to empower artists through audio-visual production. After years of building platforms for others, he also plans to return to performing—bringing his own music back to center stage while continuing to nurture the creative community around him.
