In his current position, Mr. Zaionce oversees company-wide stand-up meetings to align priorities and updates, reviews ongoing initiatives and manages projects within the pipeline. He identifies urgent matters requiring immediate attention, ensures team awareness of new developments and delegates tasks to project or operations managers for resolution. Mr. Zaionce's responsibilities also include engaging with partners across multiple countries, reviewing campaign data, evaluating results against objectives and addressing performance issues to drive performance-focused execution across teams.
Before assuming his current role, Mr. Zaionce was the vice president of marketing at CodeMonkey Studios Inc. from 2017 to 2019. During this period, he developed and implemented marketing strategies that contributed to the company's expansion in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer markets. Mr. Zaionce's efforts supported CodeMonkey's mission to provide an engaging online computer science curriculum for students in kindergarten through 12th grade, teaching coding fundamentals through interactive games aligned with U.S. and international educational standards.
From 2021 to 2023, Mr. Zaionce also served as a startup mentor at MindCET, where he provided guidance to emerging technology entrepreneurs. Earlier in his career, he co-founded Covercy in 2015, a financial technology company specializing in cross-border and cross-currency transactions. He served as the Chief Marketing Officer between 2015 and 2017 and as a board member from 2015 to 2018. Founding Covercy fulfilled a long-held aspiration for Mr. Zaionce, who takes pride in its continued operation and potential for future growth.
Before launching Covercy, Mr. Zaionce gained marketing experience at Wix.com Inc., a website-building platform. He began as a search engine marketing analyst in 2011 and served as head of performance marketing from 2012 to 2015. A highlight of his tenure was witnessing Wix.com's initial public offering after one year in his leadership role, a milestone that validated his team's contributions to the company's success. Mr. Zaionce began his career as a business analyst at David Boas Business Consultants Ltd. from 2010 to 2011, where he developed foundational business analysis skills that informed his later achievements.
Mr. Zaionce's academic background has been instrumental in shaping his approach to business leadership and innovation. His undergraduate studies culminated in a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences, with concentrations in Economics and Political Science, and a minor in History and Statistics, from Utrecht University in 2008. Subsequently, he earned a Master of Science in International Economics and Business, majoring in Business and Strategy, and a second master's degree in Economics and History, both earned on campus in 2009 and 2010, respectively. Additionally, Mr. Zaionce's commitment to professional development was demonstrated by his participation in the Microsoft Accelerator in 2015 and The Junction by F2 Capital the same year.
Beyond his primary professional pursuits, Mr. Zaionce was a member of Microsoft Ventures Accelerator, reflecting his engagement with leading industry organizations. He has also shared insights as a guest speaker at prominent events, including Heroes Fest Bogota in 2016 and Global Education Tech in 2017. Civically, Mr. Zaionce served as a dog walker and trainer for Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality from 2011 to 2018 and as a mentor in MindCET's accelerator program, supporting aspiring entrepreneurs in the Education Technology sector.
After working at Wix.com and co-founding his own company, Covercy, in the FinTech sector, Mr. Zaionce is now dedicated to advancing children's development through educational technology initiatives at CodeMonkey Studios Inc., which has grown significantly under his leadership, including an acquisition by another company driven by its success.
Born in Israel and living in Spain, Mr. Zaionce spent his formative years in the U.S., the Netherlands and Israel. This experience fostered adaptability and a global perspective.
