From 2014 to 2016, Ms. Thomas Suhre held the role of national account manager at Brandywine Capital Associates, Inc., where she managed large-scale client accounts and oversaw equipment financing within the manufacturing, medical and office furniture industries.

A significant milestone in Ms. Thomas Suhre's career came when she established Gateway Funding Diversified Mortgage Services, LP in 1994 alongside Regina Lowry. As co-founder, recruiter, branch manager and mortgage loan originator until 2015, she was pivotal in building the company from a two-person operation into a leading regional mortgage lender. She managed sales while her partner oversaw operations, and together they developed a reputation for helping individuals achieve stable homeownership through accessible financing. Their efforts culminated in the successful sale of Gateway Funding to Finance of America in 2015 after two decades of service to the Horsham, Pennsylvania, community.

Within Gateway Funding, Ms. Thomas Suhre also served as the account executive of wholesale lending from 2006 to 2011, net branch manager from 2000 to 2006 and corporate sales manager from 1994 to 2000. Each of these positions allowed her to expand her leadership skills and deepen her impact on clients and colleagues alike.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Thomas Suhre was a mortgage loan officer at Comnet Mortgage Company, a division of Commonwealth Federal Savings Bank, from 1988 to 1994. She began her professional journey as mortgage loan originator at Fidelity Bond & Mortgage in Philadelphia from 1986 to 1988 after being recruited by a headhunter who recognized her potential in the emerging residential mortgage field.

Before venturing onto her financial path, Ms. Thomas Suhre pursued higher education and earned a bachelor's degree in finance and marketing from The Pennsylvania State University in 1982. This dual major provided her with comprehensive knowledge of financial markets and consumer behavior — skills that have been integral throughout her career. To augment the knowledge she gained in the classroom, she completed sales training with Dale Carnegie Training in 1985 and was recognized as a sales talk champion.

Dedicated to the ideals of continuous learning, Ms. Thomas Suhre further enhanced her qualifications by obtaining the national mortgage license system mortgage origination license number 76092 through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Banking for mortgage banking from 2008 to 2014.

For more than a decade, she has volunteered with Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital to provide pet therapy services. She trained both herself and her dogs to assist patients — particularly those with brain injuries — using animal-assisted therapy to improve their quality of life. Furthermore, she serves on the board of directors for Mother's Wish and is active within her professional community as treasurer of her local golf and country club.
