LOS ANGELES, CA, February 23, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lowell C. Brown has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Brown has established a distinguished career in health care law, marked by more than four decades of dedicated service and expertise. Since 2007, he has served as a health care law partner at ArentFox Schiff LLP, where he is recognized for his deep knowledge in health care law and medical peer review law. In this capacity, he has provided strategic counsel to hospitals, physicians and health care organizations, addressing complex legal matters and guiding clients through regulatory challenges.

In addition to his primary role at ArentFox Schiff LLP, since 2007 Mr. Brown has also been a faculty member for the Chief of Staff Boot Camp operated by the Center for Medical Staff Leadership, LLC. Through this educational initiative, he imparts critical knowledge to medical staff leaders nationwide, helping them navigate the intricacies of hospital governance and peer review processes.

Mr. Brown's commitment to the health care sector extends beyond private practice. Since 1992, he has served as outside legal counsel for the California Hospital Association. Overlapping with this role, he was a partner at Foley & Lardner LLP from 1990 to 2007, representing health care providers in medical staff litigation and regulatory matters. He began his career as an associate at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton (now Sheppard Mullin) in 1982.

Throughout his career, Mr. Brown has been involved in cases that underscore his commitment to both patient safety and physician advocacy. Among his most notable achievements is his work in a case involving an interventional cardiologist whose disruptive behavior threatened patient care and team cohesion. By recommending a behavioral agreement and facilitating a confidential psychiatric evaluation, Mr. Brown helped the physician receive treatment for bipolar disorder type 1, ultimately preserving the doctor's career and ensuring continued patient access to specialized care.

Conversely, Mr. Brown also played a pivotal role in addressing unsafe practices by a cardiothoracic surgeon who misapplied robotic surgery techniques. Despite resistance from the surgeon, who enjoyed a favorable reputation, Mr. Brown's efforts contributed to disciplinary actions that protected patients from further harm, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to patient safety standards within healthcare institutions.

Educationally, Mr. Brown's background laid a strong foundation for his achievements. He earned a Juris Doctor from S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah in 1982 after completing a Bachelor of Applied Science in political science from the University of Utah that same year. He has furthered his expertise through leadership positions in the American Bar Association's Healthcare Law Section of California and the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys.

In addition to his professional distinction, Mr. Brown received the Silver Beaver Award for distinguished service to youth. from Boy Scouts of America (now Scouting America), underscoring his commitment to leadership development and youth mentorship. He is also admitted to practice law in California.

Overall, Mr. Brown credits his upbringing in a family devoted to service and education as instrumental to his success. Influential mentors from church and community programs also shaped his early development, while high school debating fostered skills in persuasive communication and critical thinking.

Mr. Brown's decision to pursue law was inspired by both intellectual curiosity and a desire to help others, a perspective shaped by a formative conversation with his father during adolescence. While at that age Mr. Brown thought mostly of law as a flashy career, his father pointed out that law would be an excellent profession for Mr. Brown if he "wanted to help people." This mind-opening insight and ethos has guided Mr. Brown throughout his career as he has worked tirelessly on behalf of hospitals, physicians and patients.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Brown is civically engaged as a member of the board of trustees for S.J. Quinney College of Law at The University of Utah and served on the Executive Board of Western Los Angeles County Council of Boy Scouts of America (now Scouting America). He is also a former leader within Scouting America and an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Additionally, he has contributed as a delegate to the Republican National Convention.

In his personal life, Mr. Brown enjoys watching baseball games, college football and basketball, aerobic exercise and spending time with his family, including his wife of 43 years and his three children.

Looking ahead, Mr. Brown intends to focus on giving educational presentations, writing articles about health care law, mentoring younger lawyers and volunteering within the community. He also plans to serve on hospital boards where he can leverage his extensive experience to support organizational excellence and patient care initiatives.
