Since 1980, he has served as an educational advisor and consultant at eSocial English, an organization he co-founded with his wife to support the Taiwanese community.

In this capacity, Mr. De Leon advises Taiwanese students on navigating the United States educational system, guiding them from elementary school through to college applications. His responsibilities include conducting grade point average conversions, developing application strategies, training students for standardized tests such as the International English Language Testing System and the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT), and identifying universities that align with each student's strengths and financial considerations. Recognized for providing honest assessments of academic potential, he develops exchange programs that allow high school students from abroad to experience American education firsthand.

Mr. De Leon's teaching journey also includes significant experience as an international classroom teacher and school advisor in China, Taiwan and Thailand from 2004 to 2024. During this period, he taught at international schools and advised students on academic progression, further broadening their horizons as well as his own understanding of cross-cultural education.

In addition to his work in the academic realm, Mr. De Leon manages real estate investment and property flipping operations in South Carolina, Virginia, California and Texas. He has successfully flipped three properties since 1980, further demonstrating his expertise in the field. His passion for real estate began during his childhood years and was fueled by attending property investment seminars, which provided him with the foundational knowledge that he continues to apply today.

From 1993 to 2001, Mr. De Leon owned an entertainment business in Seattle, Washington, where he gained valuable entrepreneurial and leadership experience. Prior to this venture, he worked as a real estate broker in Hawaii and California, honing his skills in property transactions and client relations. His diverse California-based business endeavors also comprised a pool cleaning company in Los Angeles, an automotive detailing organization in Beverly Hills and a health and fitness club in Lake Tahoe.

A military veteran of six years in the United States Marine Corps, Mr. De Leon documented military activities and events as a photographer at Air Station Beaufort in South Carolina and served as a noncommissioned logistics officer in Iwakuni, Japan. Distinguished by his role on the Marine Corps pistol team — during which he became a South Carolina state pistol champion at just 20 years old in 1978 — he received a commendation from the commandant for his excellence in logistics, photography and marksmanship.

After completing his service in the Marine Corps, Mr. De Leon pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration at John F. Kennedy University in 1984, which has been pivotal in shaping his approach to advising students and managing business operations. Reflecting on his storied journey thus far, he attributes his success to his strong business acumen as well as the expertise of his wife in English language instruction and interpersonal communication. Their combined skills laid a strong foundation for eSocial English and have enabled them to serve as vital resources for the Taiwanese community for more than 18 years.

Long committed to bridging Taiwanese and American cultures, Mr. De Leon is actively involved with the local Taiwanese organization in Columbia, South Carolina. Both he and his wife participate in initiatives that bring Taiwanese residents together; his wife's invitation to join the organization's board underscores their longstanding impact on community engagement and human connection.

Also a deeply devoted family man, Mr. De Leon is happily married and the proud father of one child. His daughter participates in tennis, dance, swimming and Taekwondo; in fact, she is a 1st Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo, which she earned in December 2025 becoming the youngest 1st Dan at the age of seven-and-a-half years old.

Mr. De Leon is a five star marathon runner with Abbott WMM. He has participated in marathons in Chicago, New York, London, Berlin and Tokyo. He holds five Guinness World Records in running from 2021 to 2023. He has traveled to 20 countries and all 50 U.S. states.

Together with his wife, who is fluent in Chinese, Taiwanese and English, he continues to foster connections between cultures through both their professional and community endeavors.

In the coming years, Mr. De Leon plans to expand eSocial English's exchange student program by hosting Taiwanese high school students at their home near major universities in Columbia. This initiative will provide students with opportunities to acclimate to American culture while they participate in high school sports and activities not available in Taiwan. He remains dedicated to helping others achieve their goals through all he does in educational advisement, real estate and community involvement, reflecting a glowing legacy of international service for future generations to emulate.
