FISHERS, IN, February 27, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- F. Duke Haddad, EdD, CFRE, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Marked by five decades of leadership and innovation, Dr. Haddad has led a remarkable career grounded in nonprofit development and philanthropy. As the divisional associate executive director of development for The Salvation Army Indiana Division since 2019, he has been pivotal in building and maintaining corporate relationships, directing capital campaigns and creating multi-year strategies that engage advisory boards, volunteers, donors and communities throughout the State of Indiana. His expertise in raising resources such as time, talent and treasure has significantly advanced the mission of the organization.

A defining milestone in Dr. Haddad's tenure with The Salvation Army is his leadership of the Inspiring Hope Campaign, a capital fundraising initiative that set out to raise $8 million but ultimately secured $13.4 million. This historic campaign benefited the Salvation Army Harbor Light Center, which provides drug and addiction treatment; helped to serve children through The Salvation Army Hidden Falls Camp; and aided Eagle Creek Corps Community Center, a facility designed to assist those in need of community assistance. The project stands as the first successfully completed capital campaign conducted by The Salvation Army DHQ and remains one of his proudest professional achievements.

In addition to his work with The Salvation Army, Dr. Haddad is also president, chief executive officer and consultant at Duke Haddad @ Associates, LLC, which he established in 2010. Through his consultancy business, he has provided key strategic guidance, board retreats and webinars to nonprofit individual and organizations seeking to enhance their fundraising capabilities and organizational effectiveness.

From 2012 to 2019, Dr. Haddad served as the divisional executive director of development for The Salvation Army in Indianapolis, where he further honed his skills in organizational management and donor development. His earlier experience includes serving as a special project consultant for G J Mongon & Company, Inc. from 2010 to 2012, where he contributed to specialized fundraising initiatives and strengthened professional relationships between staff and board members.

Dr. Haddad's national perspective was broadened during his tenure as the national senior director of philanthropy for Make-A-Wish Foundation of America in Phoenix, Arizona, where he was key in advancing philanthropic efforts for children and families on a nationwide scale. His leadership roles have also included vice president for development, chief development officer and president of the foundation at Dayton Children's Medical Center from 2007 to 2010, as well as senior associate at Demont & Associates, Inc. in Portland, Maine, from 2005 to 2006, where he helped direct a $37 capital campaign for Kiwanis International that included the first $1 million gift in the history of the Kiwanis International Foundation, highlighted in the Wall Street Journal in 2006.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Haddad held the positions of director of major gifts, vice president for development, chief development officer and president of the foundation at St. Vincent Hospitals & Health Services in Indiana from 1989 to 2005. In these leadership capacities, he oversaw a number of capital campaigns plus major initiatives for health care facilities and cultivated lasting relationships with donors and stakeholders.

Dr. Haddad's commitment to education is evident through his service as an instructor of webinars on nonprofit topics for NonprofitWeb Advisor in Austin, Texas, from 2020 to 2022 and as an adjunct professor at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois, from 2015 to 2017. He taught at Nova University in the late 1970's. His enduring impact on the field is further reflected by his 44-year membership with the Association of Fundraising Professionals as well as his feature on the 2018 cover of NonProfit PRO Magazine — for which he has authored more than 600 articles on a variety of nonprofit topics — since 2008.

Hailing from an equally accomplished academic background, Dr. Haddad earned a Doctor of Education in education administration with an emphasis in philanthropy from West Virginia University and holds a master's degree in public administration from Marshall University. He began his higher education journey by graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in business administration from West Virginia University. To augment his professional qualifications, he was certified as a fundraising executive by CFRE International in 1992. In 2026, he was named CFRE International Ambassador, one of only 300 individuals to be selected internationally.

Reflecting on his storied journey to date, Dr. Haddad attributes his achievements primarily to perseverance and significant motivation. Throughout his career, he has maintained an unwavering drive to give 100% effort each day while striving for excellence as a servant leader focused on making a difference for others rather than self-promotion. His entry into the nonprofit sector was motivated by a desire to use his talents for the benefit of others — a principle that continues to guide his endeavors today.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Dr. Haddad is actively engaged with numerous civic organizations and community service initiatives. He has served as vice president of the Central Indiana Alumni Chapter for West Virginia University since 2014 and is an organizational member and former board member and foundation board member of Kiwanis International in downtown Indianapolis. Additionally, he has contributed as a parish council member for six three-year terms, at St. George Orthodox Christian Church in Fishers, Indiana.

Dr. Haddad's outstanding contributions have seen him recognized through numerous accolades over the years, including the Career Award from Kiwanis Club of Indianapolis and induction into the Jasper N. Deahl Honor Society at West Virginia University College of Education and Human Services. Earlier in his career, he was named Kentucky Colonel by the governor of Kentucky in 1976, Fundraising Executive of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals in 2003, received the Sagamore of the Wabash Award from the governor of Indiana in 1996 and honored as an Outstanding West Virginian by the governor of West Virginia in 1994.

Happily married for five decades and a proud father, Dr. Haddad enjoys writing, coaching youth baseball, participating in family activities and traveling extensively with his spouse — a shared passion that has included more than 25 cruises together while raising their children and welcoming grandchildren into their family.

Looking toward the future, Dr. Haddad intends to continue writing, teaching and consulting while remaining active within the nonprofit sector. He plans to publish an upcoming book titled "Prescriptions Rx for Nonprofit Success" through Amazon and pursue additional projects alongside his ongoing contributions to multiple magazines, all while maintaining full-time involvement with The Salvation Army Indiana Division and consulting when time allows.

Dr. Haddad's enduring commitment to helping individuals and families in need through service, education and philanthropy continues to shape lives across numerous communities while setting the highest standards for excellence within his field, the State of Indiana and beyond.
