SAN JOSE, CA, March 02, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alana Simpson has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

An emerging leader making a significant impact in the field of behavioral health, Ms. Simpson currently serves as the owner of Spectrum Protection LLC, a company she founded in 2024 to provide step-by-step training and guidance for parents, teachers and caregivers working with children who have special needs. Her approach centers on personalized support, addressing client questions and tailoring strategies to the individual circumstances of each child. Developing specialized tools such as token boards and customized social stories that incorporate photographs of the children, she helps them visualize themselves in positive narratives and manage their anxiety effectively.

Prior to establishing her own company, Ms. Simpson worked as a behavioral therapist at Los Altos School District in Los Altos, California. In this capacity, she provided direct support to students with behavioral challenges, collaborating closely with educators and families to implement evidence-based interventions to help them succeed in the classroom and beyond.

Ms. Simpson also served as a trainer at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders, where she was responsible for instructing staff on best practices in behavioral therapy. Deepening her leadership experience, she contributed to the professional development of numerous colleagues and enhanced the quality of care provided to clients on the autism spectrum.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Simpson spent 12 years as a correctional officer, during which she distinguished herself as a trainer and served as the female team leader on the emergency response team. This foundational experience honed her crisis management skills and expanded her understanding of human behavior in high-stress environments.

Ms. Simpson's commitment to advancing behavioral support strategies is also reflected in her authorship of multiple books, including "The Educator's Behavioral Guide: Tips for Every Teacher," released in 2025 by Panda Publishing. She also translated "The Behavior Toolbox: A Guidebook for Parents," which was published through JETLAUNCH in 2024. Both works have since become widely acclaimed, with each one garnering the International Impact Book Award. She is also developing a mobile application entitled "Behaviorly for Parents to Track Behavior, Medical, and School" to connect with a broader audience.

Ms. Simpson's expertise has also seen her featured in prominent publications such as the Autism Parenting Guide as well as Impact and Influence Magazine. Beyond her writing projects, she is engaged in creating personalized resources for children with special needs and providing ongoing support to their families through innovative tools.

Much of Ms. Simpson's impact also stems from her academic background, which includes a bachelor's degree in sociology and criminal justice from Bowling Green State University in 2003. To further enhance her qualifications, she is certified as an autism specialist, a registered behavioral technician and holds board certification as an autism technician.

Reflecting on her storied journey to date, Ms. Simpson attributes her success to the strong work ethic instilled by her parents and grandmother. Her passion for supporting children who face mental health challenges inspired her transition from corrections to behavioral therapy, where she continues to seek opportunities for growth.

Also known for her civic-minded contributions, Ms. Simpson is a board member of Josiah's House Inc. — a nonprofit organization that provides opportunities for adults with autism and developmental disabilities to excel within their community — participates in Autism Walk events and donates blood through the American Red Cross. Recognized for her outstanding work at Spectrum Protection and beyond, she was named Woman of the Month by P.O.W.E.R. Magazine in 2025 and received Employee of the Year honors in 2024.

Determined to further her impact in the coming years, Ms. Simpson aims to create more personalized resources for children in need of support and write a book specifically for police officers on effective interactions with individuals who exhibit challenging behaviors. As she continues her pivotal work at Spectrum Protection, she hopes to collaborate with other professionals who are dedicated to making a difference in their communities, reflecting her longstanding devotion to advocacy and helping those in need through everything she does.
