OREGON, WI, March 05, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Harry H. Hawkins III has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Hawkins has established a long and successful career spanning more than two decades, marked by progressive leadership roles and a commitment to community empowerment. Since 2025, he has served as the president of Nehemiah Community Development Corporation in Madison, Wisconsin, where he directs staff empowerment and leadership development initiatives. In this capacity, Mr. Hawkins conducts weekly staff meetings focused on organizational culture and training, oversees the implementation of systems-change work and learning course platforms, manages fundraising and donor relations, and engages with community planning committees to raise awareness of civic processes. Moreover, he is responsible for assessing organizational performance and providing constructive feedback to staff.

The transition to the presidency at Nehemiah Community Development Corporation stands as Mr. Hawkins's most significant professional milestone. His promotion was not only a testament to his capabilities but also reflected the deep trust he cultivated with the organization's founder, who led Nehemiah for over 30 years. The announcement of Mr. Hawkins's new role prompted renewed support from donors who had previously lapsed or reduced their giving, underscoring the confidence placed in his leadership by staff, board members, donors and the broader community. This response affirmed that his approach to relationships, dedication and commitment had made a visible impact beyond the title itself.

Before assuming the presidency, Mr. Hawkins excelled as the executive vice president at Nehemiah Community Development Corporation from 2018 to 2025. In this role, he played a pivotal part in shaping organizational strategy, supporting program development and fostering partnerships that advanced the corporation's mission of urban leadership development.

Mr. Hawkins has simultaneously been the business owner of Human Capital Conversions LLC since 2016. Through this venture, he provides consulting services focused on human resources solutions for small businesses, specializing in hiring practices, retention strategies and cultural transformation.

Leveraging his earlier success, Mr. Hawkins served as the director of operations at Justified Anger in Madison from 2015 to 2017. Earlier in his career, he gained valuable experience in retail management and sales. He initially worked as a store manager at The Men's Wearhouse in Madison from 2003 to 2007. He then worked for Shane Co. as an assistant manager between 2007 and 2009. Mr. Hawkins transitioned to general manager at Jared The Galleria of Jewelry in 2009, where he oversaw daily operations and led staff development for over five years. His most recent role in the industry was in sales at Kessler's Diamond Center from 2015 to 2016. In each of these positions, Mr. Hawkins honed his skills in team leadership, customer service and business operations while earning recognition for outstanding performance.

Mr. Hawkins's academic background has been instrumental in shaping his professional journey. In 2016, he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in organizational behavior, cum laude, from Colorado Technical University. He earned a Master of Arts in transformational leadership, with a focus on global organizational leadership, from Bakke Graduate University in 2022. Mr. Hawkins's educational achievements have enabled him to bridge theory with practice throughout his career. In addition to his formal education, he has been a certified gemologist since 2013 by the Diamond Council of America, a credential that supported his early success in jewelry retail management.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Mr. Hawkins is actively engaged with civic organizations and faith-based service. He serves as an associate pastor at Fountain of Life Covenant Church and was a Sunday school teacher there from 2013 to 2020. Additionally, he is involved with the Rotary Club of Madison South.

Mr. Hawkins has contributed creatively through projects such as "Learning, Leavening, and Levity." He is also the author of "Lies of the Demigods: Stir of Embers Book 1," reflecting his passion for writing and storytelling. Mr. Hawkins enjoys writing science fiction and fantasy as part of an ongoing trilogy.

Mr. Hawkins attributes his accomplishments to formative influences from his youth, when he was recognized for his leadership potential through opportunities such as preaching at church at age 20 and serving as the band captain in high school. Mentorships during his retail management tenure provided additional guidance as he refined his financial oversight and team management skills. Mr. Hawkins's transition into nonprofit work was catalyzed by personal experiences of burnout in retail management, despite having earned numerous awards as a general manager. A pivotal conversation with his pastor, who also founded Nehemiah, led him to volunteer as a contractor beginning in 2016, before accepting full-time employment in 2017. This opportunity allowed him to leverage his expertise toward community development and social justice initiatives.

Looking ahead, Mr. Hawkins plans to train transformational leaders who in turn, train other leaders to increase the community's capacity for positive community change. His staff develops leaders in youth and young adults, men reentering society after incarceration, and those transformational educational experiences. He also intends to expand the Nehemiah Justified Anger Leadership Institute into a comprehensive program integrating leadership development with entrepreneurship. Mr. Hawkins envisions connecting participants with essential nonprofit-sector resources to foster collaborative microbusinesses that prioritize human connection over consumption, an innovative economic model that supports sustainable practices amid resource constraints. Moreover, he is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in innovative urban leadership development at Bakke Graduate University, further expanding his knowledge base. Mr. Hawkins's career thus far reflects an enduring commitment to empowering others through education, mentorship and visionary leadership within both nonprofit and business spheres.
