FORT WORTH, TX, March 05, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alistair Fyfe has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Acknowledged for more than 40 years of contributions in the health care sector, Dr. Fyfe has led a distinguished career at the intersection of medicine, technology and entrepreneurship. In 2026, he assumed the role of chief medical officer at Genzeon, where he leads efforts in artificial intelligence-based utilization management for WISeR, a Medicare program designed to reduce fraud, waste and abuse. Leveraging decades of clinical and administrative experience to advance health care innovation for the long-term benefit of patients and families, he regards this position as the pinnacle of his professional journey and one he has aspired to since adolescence.

Dr. Fyfe is also the founder and chief executive officer of APTAMETRIX, which utilizes cutting-edge technologies and algorithms to identify targets and create personalized solutions for medical intervention. As he started his first computer company at just 18 years old, the gradual convergence of his interests in technology and medicine has been particularly meaningful in recent years as advancements have allowed these fields to intersect more significantly.

In 2025, Dr. Fyfe contributed his expertise as the strategic medical director at Cohere Health, focusing on technological initiatives to improve both patient outcomes and operational efficiency. From 2024 to 2025, he excelled as a medical director at UnitedHealthcare, where he played a key role in policy development and assisted members with cardiology reviews.

Over the course of 17 years, Dr. Fyfe gained significant experience in clinical practice as a cardiologist with Cardiac Associates of Dallas from 2004 to 2021. During this period, he also served as a medical director at Cigna from 2016 to 2020 and as the director of primary and secondary cardiac prevention at Medical City Dallas from 2004 to 2015.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Fyfe excelled as a cardiologist with COR Management Services (CSANT) as well as with HeartPlace from 1999 to 2000; both roles allowed him to make vital contributions to transplant and medical device implant procedures that led to enhanced long-term patient outcomes.

Also lending his knowledge to the education of future cardiologists, Dr. Fyfe was an assistant professor of medicine and cardiology at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for four years, during which he also directed the Center for Cholesterol and Lipid Management and was an associate member of the Molecular Biology Institute.

Dr. Fyfe's formative training included a cardiology research fellowship at UCLA Health from 1991 to 1995, a cardiology fellowship at University of Toronto from 1989 to 1991, an internal medicine residency at The University of British Columbia from 1986 to 1989 and an internship at Royal Hobart Hospital in Australia from 1985 to 1986.

Among Dr. Fyfe's most notable achievements is his conceptualization of CAR T-cell therapy for leukemia at age 19 while in Tasmania — a groundbreaking treatment that took several decades to reach practical application but remains one of his proudest contributions despite an initial lack of recognition. He is also renowned for accomplishing the first demonstration of genetic modification of solid organ transplants.

Alongside his primary roles, Dr. Fyfe is recognized as a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians Canada and is active in professional organizations including the American College of Cardiology Council on Arteriosclerosis, the International Heart Transplant Society, the American Society for Clinical Investigation and the American Diabetes Association. He has also served as a reviewer for the American Heart Association since his recognition as a fellow of its Arteriosclerosis Council in 1993 and has written numerous articles featured in professional journals.

Hailing from an equally accomplished academic background that encompasses the ideals of continuous learning, Dr. Fyfe earned a diploma in genetics and genomics from Stanford Continuing Studies in 2023. A decade before that, he completed an executive Master of Business Administration in social entrepreneurship at the University of Oxford in 2013, where he became the oldest graduate of the program at age 53.

Earlier in his educational journey, Dr. Fyfe obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in molecular biology from UCLA in 1995; a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from University of Tasmania in 1984; and a Bachelor of Medical Science with honors in immunology from University of Tasmania in 1981.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Fyfe is passionate about helping those in need through civic engagement. He participated on the Hurricane Katrina Medical Team and contributed his expertise during cardiac missions on Christmas Island Kiribati in both 2009 and 2011. Reflecting on his storied health care journey to date, he attributes his success to taking calculated risks and always prioritizing patient well-being throughout his career.

Dr. Fyfe's longstanding leadership, dedication to education and pivotal research breakthroughs have seen him recognized with several honors including the Young Investigator Award from the American Heart Association — received first in 1993 and again in 1995 — and the Fellowship Clinician Scientist Award from the Medical Research Council Canada in 1992. He has also been selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the South and Southwest.

Happily married to Dr. Emily Reeves and a proud father of three children, Dr. Fyfe enjoys cooking — having achieved master chef status at Le Cordon Bleu Cooking School at age 63 — as well as traveling and creating abstract art across various media as a balance to his professional responsibilities.

Looking forward to the next stage of his life and career, Dr. Fyfe plans to retire after fulfilling his longstanding ambition as chief medical officer while continuing to contribute to advancements at the intersection of health care and technology.
