KALAMAZOO, MI, March 09, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jennifer L. Lacy has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Lacy currently serves as the chief executive officer and founder of PhysioFEEL Coaching LLC, where she is pioneering a holistic approach to personal and professional development. In this capacity, she integrates daily self-reflection, meditation, and exercise to cultivate mental readiness and emotional resilience. Her leadership philosophy is grounded in the "FUN" principle—Fascinated, Unapologetically curious, Nourish—guiding her to set purposeful priorities and maintain sustained focus throughout each day. Ms. Lacy works asynchronously with clients while completing her dissertation and synchronously supports novice elementary teachers who lack internship experience by coaching them in classroom management and behavior strategies. She also champions strengths-based perspectives for students and parents, emphasizing the importance of nourishing both mind and body.
Prior to establishing PhysioFEEL Coaching, LLC in 2025, Ms. Lacy concluded a distinguished 30-year career in education. She served as a kindergarten teacher for 22 years, having made significant contributions to early childhood education through her expertise in growth mindset and cognitive reframing. Her innovative "brain work" program, which linked neuroscience with physical movement and cognition, resulted in measurable improvements in students' social and emotional capacities, as well as high levels of advanced reading and mathematics scores. Recognizing the need for professional renewal, Ms. Lacy transitioned to teaching 5th-grade English Language Arts/Social Studies, which served as a bridge to middle school instruction and initiated a focus on coaching middle school volleyball.
Ms. Lacy's tenure as a seventh-grade life science teacher during the COVID-19 pandemic was marked by adaptability and resilience. Embracing emergency remote teaching, she gained valuable insights into educational perseverance and the unique characteristics of adolescent learners. Additionally, she continued to coach seventh-grade foundational volleyball, deepening her understanding of adolescent brain development.
In her final two years in education, Ms. Lacy returned to an elementary setting as a resilience coach and behavior specialist. She provided professional development for staff, coached teachers, and led small-group sessions with students. She became known for championing social and emotional learning, advocating for trauma-informed practices, and fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within the school community. Her commitment was evident in her creative classroom methods—such as using a heavy bag, jump ropes, and focused breathwork to help students release pent-up energy—and in her efforts to foster a sense of belonging for all students.
Throughout her educational career, Ms. Lacy organized impactful community events, such as the Color Dash 5K fundraiser, which raised over $10,000 for physical education equipment and fostered strong community engagement. She also led initiatives for the American Heart Association and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital that promoted student wellness while supporting charitable causes. In her final year before retiring from education, she facilitated one more 5K Color Dash event, which played a crucial role in revitalizing student and family morale post-pandemic.
Ms. Lacy has also maintained an active presence in the fitness industry as a group fitness instructor through the American Council of Exercise. After stepping back from teaching classes such as PiYoLIVE and P90xLIVE during the pandemic, she re-entered the field with renewed focus, earned certification as a yoga instructor, and maintains a 30-hour focus on children's yoga implementation. Her expertise extends to public speaking at local, national, and international wellness forums, where she shares insights from three decades of public service.
Academically, Ms. Lacy's background includes ongoing doctoral studies in mind and body medicine at Saybrook University in California, where her dissertation explores strength-based mental rehearsal by integrating self-determination theory with chakra system theory. She also holds a master's degree in education from Michigan State University and a bachelor's degree in education with a specialization in early childhood and a minor in integrated creative arts from Western Michigan University.
Professionally credentialed, Ms. Lacy holds a certification in mindful applications in health care, is a national board-certified health and wellness coach and has completed a 200-hour registered yoga teacher training course. These qualifications have enabled Ms. Lacy to blend Eastern and Western perspectives on energy awareness into her coaching practice.
Throughout her career, Ms. Lacy has attributed her success to applying insights gained from diverse initiatives. Initially influenced by Dr. John Ratey's research on the impact of cardiovascular training on academic performance—as demonstrated by the Naperville school study—she has consistently advocated for holistic approaches that support students' cognitive development through physical health.
Civically involved, Ms. Lacy has served as vice president of the Girls on the Run board in Calhoun County, helping to launch the Michigan chapter. As an organizer of both 5K Color Dash and Jump Rope for Heart events, she has demonstrated leadership in promoting wellness within her community. Furthermore, as a speaker at the national level for The Attachment Trauma Network in 2023 and international wellness forums such as the International Health and Wellness Coaching Conference in 2025, she continues to share her expertise on growth mindset, reframing techniques and trauma-informed education practices.
Born in Ludington, Ms. Lacy enjoys playing ice hockey, motorcycle riding, practicing yoga, and reading outside of her professional pursuits. In the coming years, she envisions herself as an advocate for teachers and parents—working alongside organizations to improve the workplace climate and advance initiatives that dismantle bias within educational systems. She is committed to equipping educators with comprehensive skills for behavior management while fostering supportive environments for both teachers and administrators. Open to engaging with policy discussions, if necessary, she remains dedicated to embodying the principles she teaches—ensuring her presence where it is most needed within schools or higher education institutions.
HAVE FUN. BE FUN. DO FUN.
I can. I will. I am.
