Mr. Burleigh's professional journey began in West Virginia, where he worked in a biomedical communications department from 1984 to 1992. There, he documented and edited open heart surgeries, some of which were accepted by the American College of Surgeons, and produced videos on ambulance services and drug enforcement operations with the Department of Public Safety. This period provided Mr. Burleigh with significant field production experience and honed his skills in visual storytelling under demanding conditions.

In 1993, Mr. Burleigh contributed to Royal Caribbean's video department aboard the Monarch of the Seas, traveling between Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Barbados. He subsequently served as an associate producer at WNPB, a Public Broadcasting Service station in Morgantown, West Virginia, before undertaking freelance assignments for New Jersey companies based in Manhattan, New York.

Mr. Burleigh's educational foundation includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts from West Virginia University in Morgantown. He also received a certification in the use, maintenance and operation of Steadicam equipment from the International Film and Television Workshops in Rockport, Maine.

Mr. Burleigh's commitment to creative engagement is further reflected in his authorship of "A Muse Meant For You!: Burleigh's Rules of Creative Engagement for Aspiring Painters," published by Artful Kryptonite in 2025.

Throughout his career, Mr. Burleigh has recorded numerous notable figures, including presidents, first ladies and entertainers. After pausing exhibition activities for his studio discipline in 2025, Mr. Burleigh resumed promoting his work with renewed vigor, maintaining a presence at the Agora Gallery in Chelsea. Continuing to seek exposure-based opportunities that maximize visibility, his focus now includes platforms that display artwork on buildings and signage and through reputable galleries internationally.

Mr. Burleigh has been featured as one of the Masterful Minds 5 Artists to Watch by Circle Foundation for the Arts in 2024 and appeared on Art Tour International's Vivid Arts TV. His achievements have been recognized with numerous awards, dating back to 2006 when he received the Grand Jury Award for Theosophical Surrealism at the New York International Art Festival. Others included Top Honors at the American Art Awards in 2016, multiple Second Place Certificates of Artistic Excellence from J.Mane Gallery H20 in 2021, and the Collector's Legacy Impact Award from Art Tour International in 2025.

Mr. Burleigh's legacy is enriched by a family history steeped in creativity. Notably, his great-grandfather was a renowned composer whose works included "Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen" and "Deep River," and he regularly collaborated with Antonín Dvořák and performed internationally for distinguished audiences.
