She was recently spotlighted in New York City's Times Square on a 22-story screen that is passed by an estimated 1.5 million people daily. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are chosen from among a pool of the most prominent professionals and are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Dr. Moore dedicated her career to teaching and recently retired from the Roosevelt School District where she taught physical education at Ulysses Byas Elementary School from 1972 to 2019. She also excelled as a coach and educator at middle and high school institutions from 1968 to 1972. Dr. Moore pursued a place in the profession after identifying her own natural proclivity for mentoring and for sports, and she was attracted to the spirit of fair play inherent to participation in them.
As a mentor and coach, Dr. Moore impacted countless youth. Her efforts included introducing young athletes to the fundamentals of various team sports with a persistent emphasis on sportsmanship and etiquette. As a tennis coach, Dr. Moore excelled in explaining point progression and court positioning, and she tailored programs to each player's abilities, emphasizing the technical aspects of the swing and enhancing participants' skills through repetition, ball-feeding drills and live ball situations.
Dr. Moore currently holds the title of founder and executive director of the Alliance Junior Development Program Inc. The initiative is a portal through which she develops innovative curricula in grammar and mathematics, then offers enrollment in carefully tailored small class sessions. Looking toward the future, Dr. Moore expects to guide the organization to continued growth as she continues her applied efforts to advance academic achievement in the community.
Exceptional academic credentials are foundational to Dr. Moore's presence in the field and include a Bachelor of Science in physical education from Morgan State University and a Master of Science in education and counseling from Hofstra University. She subsequently completed a Doctor of Law, graduating with honors from Morgan State University in 2015, and Dr. Moore is also certified as a K-12 physical education teacher by the state of New York.

Additionally, she has been active as an elected member of the Roosevelt School District School Board since 2020, and Dr. Moore has collaborated with Dr. Ron Daniels' Institute of the Black World 21st Century since 2004.
Dr. Moore attributes her success to her mother's regular iteration of the phrase "Do your best," a sentiment Dr. Moore relied on in developing consistency, discipline and self-control. She also holds gratitude for an ability to sustain a humble spirit that aids in forging positive relationships with others, and she counts Dr. Dorothy Heights, president of Delta Sigma Theta, as her most distinguished mentor.
Dr. Moore has engaged in a variety of pursuits to advance the health and well-being of others. In 1972, she traveled to Puerto Rico where she gained invaluable perspectives by touring schools, prisons and libraries.
