Dr. James H. Lawton is a Podiatric Surgeon based in the Chicago area with 45 years of experience. Now retired from clinical practice, he has continued his professional efforts by providing online consultations, allowing him to remain engaged in patient care and continuing Medical Education. Dr. Lawton holds a BS degree in pre-medicine from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1967. Subsequently, he earned a DPM degree from the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago in 1971. Following medical school, Dr. Lawton completed a two-year Surgical Residency at Franklin Boulevard Community Hospital in Chicago, and he was licensed as a Podiatric Surgeon in Illinois, Wisconsin and California. He is Board Certified in Podiatric Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and he served as Board President in 1984-1985.
