Before relocating to the United States, Mr. Fitzgerald worked as a pipeline crew supervisor for Wasco Energy Group of Companies in Australia. In this challenging role from 2011 to 2015, he oversaw teams working on large-scale pipeline installations within oil fields, managing logistics, safety protocols and project timelines to ensure full satisfaction and compliance.

Hailing from an equally accomplished academic background that provided a strong foundation in both technical knowledge and project leadership, Mr. Fitzgerald earned a bachelor's degree in construction management and engineering from Waterford Institute of Technology (now South East Technological University) in 2017. Recognized for excellence throughout his educational journey, he was presented with multiple accolades including Presentation of the Year and CIOB technical challenge winner. Born and raised in Waterford, Ireland, he was influenced by generations of relatives who were involved in the industry; his grandfather served as a construction manager for John Sisk and Sons while his father and uncle established a concrete company in England during the 1980s. After completing secondary school in 2000, Mr. Fitzgerald attended trade school specializing in carpentry and joinery before entering the workforce full-time. The economic downturn of 2008 prompted him to pivot and upskill by enrolling in college for Construction Management and Engineering. This allowed him to gain valuable educational and practical experience, which prepared him for working on major projects across Australia and now, New York.

Reflecting on his storied journey to date, Mr. Fitzgerald attributes his success to the work ethic instilled by his family — particularly his parents and extended relatives — and emphasizes perseverance as central to his approach.
