Prior to becoming a partner at Mead Law Group, Ms. Mead served as of counsel there from 2017 to 2019, where she contributed to the firm's litigation practice and further honed her construction law skills. Her earlier experience includes working as an associate attorney at Jolley Urga Woodbury & Little in Las Vegas from 2016 to 2017, where she handled a variety of legal matters, including construction disputes, and developed foundational skills that would support her later achievements.
From 2014 to 2016, Ms. Mead was an associate attorney at Snell & Wilmer L.L.P., where she first gained exposure to complex commercial litigation and construction-related disputes, working in the firm's Denver and Las Vegas offices. Her tenure at Snell & Wilmer began as a summer associate in Denver in 2013, providing her with early insight into large-firm practice and the intricacies of construction law.
Several formative roles preceded Ms. Mead's legal career during her academic years. She served as a research assistant to Professor Jean Sternlight at the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, from 2012 to 2014, contributing to scholarly work on dispute resolution and arbitration. In 2013, she was selected as a judicial extern to the Honorable Justice Douglas at the Supreme Court of Nevada in Las Vegas, where she gained a valuable perspective on appellate procedure and judicial decision-making. Ms. Mead's commitment to professional development is reflected in her active membership with the Nevada Contractors Association, an affiliated organization of the Associated General Contractors of America. She served a three-year term as a core member of the executive team for one of its demanding committees, the Construction Leadership Council, where she helped organize events, secure speakers, coordinate job site visits, and facilitate community service projects. She remains actively involved with the Construction Leadership Council and the Nevada Contractors Association as a whole, serving as one of the Community Service Leads with the Construction Leadership Council and participating in events and meetings at the NCA as often as possible.
Her academic background includes earning a Juris Doctor from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2014. During law school, Ms. Mead distinguished herself through research assistantships and externships that laid the groundwork for her expertise in construction law and litigation strategy. She previously completed a Bachelor of Arts in history at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2011, where she developed critical thinking skills that have informed her approach to complex legal issues.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Ms. Mead is dedicated to civic engagement and philanthropy.
