Before leading Lydon Solar, Mr. Lydon built a strong foundation in mining engineering. From 2022 to 2023, he worked as a mine engineer at Payne + Dolan, A Walbec Group Company in Waukesha, Wisconsin. There, he contributed to operational improvements and project management within the mining sector.

From 2021 to 2022, Mr. Lydon served as a mining engineer for the South Region of Summit Materials in Eagle Lake, Texas. In this position, he was responsible for optimizing extraction processes and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

His earlier experience includes working as a mining engineer at SmartSand, Inc. in Oakdale, Wisconsin, from 2019 to 2021. During this period, he focused on resource management and sustainable mining practices. Mr. Lydon began his professional journey as a responsible mining intern at SmartSand, Inc. in 2018, gaining hands-on experience that would inform his later roles.

Mr. Lydon is an active member of several industry organizations, including the Midwest Renewable Energy Association and RENEW Wisconsin. These affiliations reflect his commitment to advancing renewable energy initiatives and staying informed about industry developments.

His academic background has played a pivotal role in his career achievements. Mr. Lydon earned a Master of Business Administration in accounting and finance from the University of the People in 2021. This advanced degree provided him with essential skills for managing complex financial operations and strategic planning within his company. He also holds a Bachelor's Degree in geological and earth sciences with a focus on hydrogeology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, completed in 2018. This scientific training laid the groundwork for his early career in mining engineering and informed his approach to sustainable business practices.

In addition to his formal education, Mr. Lydon has obtained several certifications that have enhanced his professional capabilities. He earned the Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the Council for Six Sigma Certification in 2021, demonstrating proficiency in process improvement and operational efficiency. He became an FAA Part 107-certified pilot in 2019, enabling him to use drone technology for site assessments and project monitoring. Additionally, he received a commercial driver's license from the Motor Vehicles Department in 2017.
