FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, March 30, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- With nearly two decades of progressive experience in quality management and software engineering for digital health technologies, Mr. Iglesias has led a distinguished career in product development and quality assurance. Since 2024, he has specialized in digital health engineering and quality at Merck & Co., Inc., where he serves as Chief of Staff for Medical Device Quality and Regulatory and oversees the development and implementation of companion diagnostics used in clinical trials. Mr. Iglesias is regarded as an industry expert and is regularly sought out to present at external conferences and webinars.

As a former Product Advisor for Ultralight Labs (now acquired by Greenlight Guru), he provided strategic guidance on product development and quality assurance for emerging digital health solutions. Concurrently, he contributed as a Global Quality Advisor at Roche from 2021 to 2024, during which he was pivotal in shaping global strategies for medical device software and quality management.

Mr. Iglesias previously served as the Lead Quality Engineer for Digital Therapeutics and at Novo Nordisk from 2020 to 2021, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance for digital health technologies used in clinical trials. The year before, he strengthened his expertise by working as a Senior Software Quality Engineer at Philips Healthcare in Emergency Care and Resuscitation, helping remediate FDA Class III medical devices and contributing to the lifting of a regulatory injunction.

From 2016 to 2019, Mr. Iglesias was a Quality Engineer specializing in digital health at the Indianapolis-based pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturer Eli Lilly and Company. During this period, he helped develop the organization's digital health quality management system, establishing engineering and quality processes that enabled the organization to achieve regulatory clearance and notified body certifications. He helped Lilly obtain an FDA clearance for a diabetes management mobile platform for patients and healthcare providers — a significant achievement for a major pharmaceutical company.

Earlier in his career, from 2012 to 2016, Mr. Iglesias served as the Quality Program Leader at Janssen Healthcare Innovation, part of Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson in San Diego, California. He played a pivotal role in launching one of the first mobile medical applications — which allowed users to manage medications by setting reminders, logging doses taken or missed, and sharing real-time data with caregivers and family members — in several countries worldwide. This pioneering medication management technology was an early innovation in mobile health.

Mr. Iglesias began his professional journey as a Manager at Apple Inc. from 2006 to 2010. His early exposure to the iPhone's revolutionary potential during this time sparked his enduring interest in mobile applications and software development — a foundation that would shape his future contributions to digital health and innovation.

To share insights and stay current with best practices in his ever-evolving field, Mr. Iglesias is an active member of influential organizations, including the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS), and the American Society for Quality (ASQ).

Hailing from an equally robust academic background, Mr. Iglesias holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Western Governors University, a Master of Science in Information Technology from Purdue University, and is currently earning a Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami's Herbert Business School. He has also completed coursework in Mechanical Engineering at Arizona State University.

Dedicated to the ideals of continuous learning, Mr. Iglesias holds numerous professional certifications that underscore his technical proficiency. He holds several certifications in medical device cybersecurity, software engineering, project management, and quality management from respected organizations such as CompTIA, Oriel Stat a Matrix (now Eliquent Life Sciences), British Standards Institution (BSI), ASQ, and AAMI.

Mr. Iglesias' entry into digital health engineering began when he was hired as a consultant by Janssen Pharmaceuticals, a Johnson & Johnson company, in 2012. He contributed to developing some of the earliest mobile medical applications integrated with cloud-based software, which proved vital during an era when regulatory frameworks were still evolving to address these innovations.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Iglesias is deeply involved in both civic engagement and creative expression. With a particular talent for the trombone, he is an accomplished musician who attended a performing arts high school specializing in music performance. Actively participating in community bands throughout South Florida — including ensembles based in Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami — he dedicates three evenings each week to rehearsals and performances with orchestras, concert bands, and jazz bands that comprise both professional and non-professional musicians. These ensembles perform numerous concerts seasonally, providing him with meaningful balance alongside his demanding career.

Determined to further his impact, Mr. Iglesias intends to establish his own digital health technology company, focusing on developing innovative products that do not yet exist. He is also aiming to advance toward C-level leadership roles while exploring entrepreneurial opportunities that allow him to operate independently and bring novel concepts to market within the rapidly evolving digital health technology landscape.
