With 15 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, Mr. Knarr has been in his current position at Blatek, Inc. for two years. Previously a quality manager at the same company, his responsibilities include managing manufacturing services including troubleshooting, overseeing employees, planning, scheduling, part tracking, percentage yields and building relationships with customers. Blatek, Inc. is a manufacturing company that provides ultrasonic transducers for medical devices and non-destructive testing as well as research and development. Mr. Knarr previously worked at Corning as a quality manager, a quality supervisor and a new product portfolio manager.

Mr. Knarr considers his greatest career achievement to be his work and support of growth at Blatek, and hopes to continue to further develop the company and plan for his retirement. He knows that important factors in achieving this goal are maintaining the infrastructure and skill sets to support the growth. To keep current with the trends in his industry, he gets daily FDA bulletins, reads magazines from the American Society for Quality and follows emails from ASQ and the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society. He believes that a major issue facing his industry is managing growth and the changes in the global economy.

A recipient of the Marketing Excellence Award for a Customer Corrective Action System from Corning, Mr. Knarr completed coursework in Statistical Techniques and is a Certified Internal Auditor. A member of the American Society for Quality, he attributes his success his determination and "never give up" attitude.
