FORT LARAMIE, WY, April 03, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jared D. Abraham, P.G., has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Abraham's distinguished career in geophysics spans more than 35 years, marked by significant contributions to groundwater management and the advancement of airborne electromagnetic techniques. Since 2015, he has served as a geophysicist with Aqua Geo Frameworks LLC in Wyoming, where he applies airborne geophysics to address complex geological and hydrogeologic challenges. In this capacity, he develops three-dimensional conceptual models of the Earth and manages groundwater and source water projects for municipalities across the United States and internationally.

Mr. Abraham's leadership has resulted in the practical application of data developed by his company, enabling municipalities to better manage groundwater resources and identify new water sources. Notably, he is recognized as one of only a handful of professionals worldwide who have aggressively advanced airborne electromagnetic techniques, a pursuit that began during his tenure at the U.S. Geological Survey and has since gained broader acceptance throughout the country. Among his proudest achievements is his leadership role in the national mapping project in Guyana, where his expertise has contributed to diversifying the nation's economy beyond oil.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Abraham was an independent senior consultant based in Golden, Colorado, from 2015 to 2016, after serving the previous two years as a senior research geophysicist at Exploration Resources International (XRI), where he focused on innovative research and development within the field of exploration geophysics.

Mr. Abraham's career also includes a significant tenure as a geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey in Colorado from 1997 to 2013. Earlier in his career, he served as a geophysicist with RUST Geotech Inc. from 1992 to 1996, gaining valuable industry experience in applied geophysics. His foundational experience was as a geophysical technician with Northern Geophysical in 1991 and as a volunteer at the Museum of Western Colorado from 1988 to 1991, where he cultivated his early interest in geology and paleontology.

Throughout his career, Mr. Abraham has maintained active membership in several leading industry organizations, including the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, the American Geophysical Union, the Geological Society of America Inc., the Environmental and Engineering Geophysical Society and the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers.

Academically, Mr. Abraham's background laid a strong foundation for his professional accomplishments, earning a Master of Science in geophysics from the Colorado School of Mines in 1999. He also completed an internship in geophysics at the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 1994 and received a bachelor's degree in geology from Colorado Mesa University that same year.

Mr. Abraham holds multiple professional certifications that reflect his expertise and commitment to maintaining high standards in his field. Among these, he has been recognized as a professional geophysicist by the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists since 2017 and as a professional geoscientist by the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists since 2016. In addition, he has earned professional geologist credentials across numerous states, including Arkansas, Florida, Kansas, Arizona, Utah, Indiana, Missouri, Nebraska and Wyoming, demonstrating a broad geographic scope of licensure and a consistent dedication to professional excellence nationwide.

Reflecting on his career, Mr. Abraham attributes his success to consistently delivering useful products on time and prioritizing practical solutions over theoretical details. His focus on providing timely deliverables—such as three-dimensional images of aquifers or accessible maps—has distinguished him within both government and private sectors.

Mr. Abraham's early exposure to geology while growing up amid ranching life in western Colorado sparked an enduring fascination with earth sciences. Collecting arrowheads, rock, minerals and fossils before graduating high school led him naturally into geology studies at Colorado Mesa University and later advanced work at the Colorado School of Mines. A formative internship using seismic data for oil exploration revealed how valuable subsurface information could be obtained without drilling, inspiring his lifelong dedication to applied geophysics. An additional internship with the University of Alaska Fairbanks jump-started his interest in geophysical exploration.

Mr. Abraham has been recognized with several prestigious awards throughout his career, including the Superior Service Award from the U.S. Department of the Interior in both 2006 and 2012, the Best Non-Petroleum Presentation from the Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists and PESA Energy Geoscience in 2010, and the Environmental Achievement Award from the U.S. Department of the Interior in 2007. Additionally, he has contributed articles to professional journals, sharing insights from his extensive fieldwork and research with peers across the globe.

In addition to his scientific pursuits, Mr. Abraham owns and manages a 320-acre cattle ranch in Wyoming, maintaining a lifestyle rooted in values instilled during childhood visits to his grandparents' ranch. Modern technology enables him to work remotely while preserving this rural way of life.

Beyond his technical achievements, Mr. Abraham is civically engaged through involvement with organizations like the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He is also dedicated to family life and has two adult children, a daughter who is a psychologist and a son who works as a heavy equipment mechanic.

In the upcoming years, Mr. Abraham intends to continue advancing data accessibility for clients while integrating new partners into Aqua Geo Frameworks LLC. He remains committed to empowering organizations through reliable geophysical data solutions that support informed decision-making across diverse sectors.
