NEW YORK, NY, April 08, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dan Brown has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Marked by innovation and leadership in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors with a focus on product development, Mr. Brown has led a remarkable career spanning five decades. Since 2023, he has served as a member of the board of advisors for Global Jewry, Ltd., which strives to strengthen the bonds among Jewish individuals and families by celebrating their shared historical and cultural values. In this capacity, he draws on his extensive experience to provide strategic guidance and help shape the direction of the organization.
Alongside his work at Global Jewry, Mr. Brown is the founder of ActualizeChange, through which he has established locations in London, New York and Guangzhou, China (2026). Since beginning this venture in 2015, he has focused on fostering impactful change within the philanthropic community, leveraging his expertise in building networks, media relations and raising funds to support meaningful initiatives around the world.
In 2007, Mr. Brown founded eJewish Philanthropy and served as its publisher and chief executive officer until 2021. Upon conceiving the idea for this niche publication, he secured foundation funding and built it into a sustainable enterprise that achieved proof of concept within 90 days of launch, far surpassing initial expectations. Under his leadership, eJewish Philanthropy became a vital resource for the philanthropic sector, outlasting several competitors and providing essential news coverage and analysis.
Over the course of more than a decade, Mr. Brown contributed as a steering committee member and special advisor to the chair for Limmud FSU, supporting educational initiatives for Russian-speaking Jewish communities worldwide. His guidance helped expand the reach and impact of the organization during a period of significant growth.
From 2003 to 2005, Mr. Brown served as board chair for American Friends of the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS) Institute, also known as WUJS Arad. In this role, he provided oversight and strategic direction for programs in support of educational opportunities and activism efforts in Israel.
In addition to his global impact in the philanthropic sector, Mr. Brown played a pioneering role in establishing manufacturing supply chains in Asia for a major public conglomerate during the 1970s — a time when overseas apparel outsourcing was new to Western businesses. He was tasked with building and overseeing the company's Hong Kong office to set up product manufacturing primarily in Taiwan, Hong Kong and India. During this period, he developed deep business and social networks among a group of approximately 30 young professionals who were pivotal in navigating an industry without precedent or guidance.
Hailing from an equally accomplished academic background, Mr. Brown earned a master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania as well as a bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati. Dedicated to the ideals of lifelong learning, he completed an executive program in social impact strategy at the University of Pennsylvania in 2017 and earned graduate certificates in nonprofit management and fundraising from the same institution in 2005.
Reflecting on his storied journey thus far, Mr. Brown attributes his success to his signature optimism, a willingness to take chances on inexperienced employees by providing mentorship, an ability to build cohesive teams and a talent for conceiving new ideas while raising funds to execute them.
Throughout his career, Mr. Brown has served on advisory boards for several organizations but did not seek officer positions, preferring instead to offer strategic counsel and support. A proud father and grandfather, he enjoys traveling to Asia, visiting art galleries and spending time with his grandson — a source of great personal joy following his daughter's successful journey to parenthood through in vitro fertilization (IVF) after many years of effort.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Brown remains dedicated to building connections between America and Asia with a focus on China and Singapore. As he aims to foster philanthropic relationships that will create a lasting impact across continents, his prospective goals continue to reflect a longstanding legacy of helping others and bringing people closer together through everything he does.
