Ms. Léger has established a distinguished career spanning almost 30 years in communications, advocacy, education and policy. In 2025, she became a partner at SquadBuck Consulting in Washington, D.C., where her responsibilities include conducting deep long-term strategic planning, media trainings, developing communications strategies, and distilling complex policy ideas into accessible language. Additionally, Ms. Léger manages political communications and provides policy and advocacy communications, demonstrating her expertise in translating complex concepts for diverse audiences.

Prior to her current role at SquadBuck, Ms. Léger was with the Center for American Progress (CAP), an independent, nonpartisan policy institute based in Washington, D.C., for over 17 years. She began serving as the vice president of communications from 2005 to 2009, managing media relations, crafting messaging strategies, and coordinating high-impact campaigns that advanced progressive policy goals. Ms. Léger then briefly pivoted to join the Executive Office of the President as a special assistant to the president and director of message events from 2009 to 2011, serving at the highest levels of government.

Returning to CAP in 2011, Ms. Léger spent 2011 to 2013 as the vice president for American values and new communities. She then became the senior vice president for American values and new communities until 2014, directing initiatives focused on advancing inclusive policies and strengthening community engagement across diverse populations. In 2014, Ms. Léger returned to communications as the senior vice president for communications and strategy, responsible for guiding the organization's overall communications vision while mentoring teams and fostering innovative approaches to outreach and engagement. During her tenure, she also held the role of executive vice president for communications and strategy from 2019 to 2025, where she led the organization's comprehensive communications efforts, overseeing strategic messaging and public engagement initiatives that elevated the institution's national profile. Ms. Léger was instrumental in shaping the center's approach to policy advocacy and public discourse.

Ms. Léger's career began with roles in political communications, including working on political campaigns in New York City and serving in various communications roles at the Democratic National Committee from 2002 to 2005, ending as the deputy communications director. She also contributed her expertise to the Ohio Democratic Coordinated Campaign for John Kerry in 2004.

Ms. Léger's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Arts in government from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. Her education provided a strong grounding in political science and public affairs, equipping her with analytical skills that have underpinned her professional achievements.

Throughout her career, Ms. Léger has demonstrated a commitment to professional development through active membership in industry organizations such as The Communications Network. This involvement has enabled her to remain at the forefront of best practices in strategic communication. Ms. Léger's dedication extends beyond her professional pursuits into civic engagement. She has served as the vice president of a school parent-teacher organization, board member of a charter school and board member of a local Main Street community development initiative in Washington, D.C.
