WEST PALM BEACH, FL, April 09, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Suzi K. Edwards has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Edwards, an accomplished artist and author, currently leads Suzi K Edwards Studio, where she creates digital art and illustrations using iPad applications. Her expertise extends to designing and developing children's book series, notably the Doggos series, and producing toy fabric samples and patterns for manufacturing and licensing. She also teaches art workshops at holistic institutions, sharing her knowledge of digital art, mosaics, and public arts.
Prior to her current endeavors, Ms. Edwards established herself as a public artist and mosaic designer. Her large-scale mosaic installations have become landmarks in Florida's cultural landscape. Among her most celebrated works are a six-by-nine-foot colored portrait of Shakespeare and a thirty-foot-by-three-foot mosaic depicting characters from various plays at the Orlando Shakespeare Theater. She also created significant floor mosaics for the Palm Beach County Library and the Susan B. Katz Theater in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Ms. Edwards is particularly proud of her community art projects involving homeless individuals, such as the Painted Dream Mural, which enabled participants to express their aspirations on eight-foot panels. This project notably helped one participant reunite with his family after being featured in a newspaper photograph. Additionally, she coordinated a 250-foot community mural that remained vibrant for nearly two decades on a south-facing wall in Florida.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Edwards made her mark as a clothing designer for a New York fashion company during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Her innovative designs inspired competitors to create more affordable versions, underscoring her creative influence within the industry. Before this role, she worked as a clothing designer and seamstress in Georgetown, Washington, DC.
Since 1973, Ms. Edwards has also served as a yoga teacher, drawing upon her training to instruct students in meditation and discipline, skills that have informed both her artistic practice and personal growth.
Ms. Edwards's educational journey began at Stockbridge School in Massachusetts, where she graduated as salutatorian. She completed coursework at Cornell University before pursuing a degree in fashion at the London College of Fashion in England. Her time at the London College of Fashion immersed her in the vibrant British fashion scene of the 1960s, where she drew inspiration from designers such as Biba, Mary Quant and Ossie Clark. This experience laid the foundation for her early success in clothing design upon returning to New York City.
She holds yoga teacher training certification from Swami Vishnudevananda on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. The discipline acquired through this training has been integral to her teaching roles and personal resilience.
Ms. Edwards attributes her achievements to perseverance and an inner strength forged through adversity. Growing up with visual impairment—having only one functional eye—and overcoming childhood abuse shaped her determination to succeed despite obstacles. She credits these experiences with instilling an unwavering resolve that has propelled her through multiple career transitions.
Her civic engagement is extensive. As founder and director of the Art by the Homeless project in Orlando, Florida, she has empowered marginalized individuals through creative expression. She is also a donor and teacher at Omega Institute for Holistic Studies in Rhinebeck, New York; a donor to Norton Museum; Humane World for Animals; Help Animals India; and DuoDuo Project. Her commitment to service was recognized with a Service Award for Work with Homeless Populations from the City of Orlando.
Ms. Edwards's creative output includes the memoir "Quiet Mind, Crazy Heart," published in 2022 and reviewed favorably by Kirkus Reviews. Since 2019, she has written the Doggos children's book series, available on Amazon, and is represented by Beck Licensing Group for toy manufacturing opportunities showcased at major expos in Las Vegas, New York and Düsseldorf.
Born in Manhattan into a prominent Jewish family with historical ties to organized crime during Prohibition, Ms. Edwards spent her formative years in the Virgin Islands, where her grandfather built St. Thomas's first luxury hotel. After attending boarding school in Massachusetts, she embarked on an international journey that would shape her multifaceted career.
Ms. Edwards raised two sons following her separation from artist Roy Edwards—one now a lawyer in Miami and the other a physician in Seattle—both of whom maintain close relationships with her and their children. She currently divides her time between West Palm Beach, Florida, and Rhinebeck, New York, sharing her townhouse with a paramedic tenant and two long-haired chihuahuas who are central to her daily life.
Her interests include exercising, meditating, creating digital art, painting, drawing, teaching art workshops, spending time with family and grandchildren, dining out with friends and attending charity events.
Looking ahead, Ms. Edwards intends to further develop her Doggos children's book series and toy line while expanding her digital art portfolio through new works such as the Animals Invade the Art World series. She plans to continue teaching art workshops—including collage workshops at Sivananda Ashram on Paradise Island—and to maintain philanthropic contributions supporting animal welfare, arts initiatives and holistic institutions, while sustaining her daily meditation practice from both of her homes.
Ms. Edwards's career reflects expertise across public art, mosaics, children's literature and digital illustration, a testament to creativity, resilience and a lifelong dedication to artistic innovation and community service.
