Dr. Tornblad's earlier tenure at Infineon Technologies from 2002 to 2010 as a senior staff engineer further solidified his expertise in device physics and modeling. Between 2000 and 2002, he worked as a research engineer at Ericsson Microelectronics, applying his knowledge to mainly LDMOS development. His professional journey began with a postdoctoral research position at Stanford University from 1999 to 2000, where he worked with a renowned technology computer-aided design group led by Professor Dutton. This experience shaped his career trajectory and established him as an expert in technology and computer-aided design.
Throughout his career, Dr. Tornblad has maintained active involvement in industry organizations such as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and served on the Compact Modeling Council committee for GaN devices. These affiliations underscore his commitment to advancing the field and staying engaged with leading-edge developments.
Dr. Tornblad's academic foundation includes a Doctor of Philosophy in semiconductor device physics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, earned in 1998. He also completed study-abroad coursework toward a Master of Science in physics at RWTH Aachen University in Aachen, Germany, in 1991, and holds a completed M.Sc. from Linköping University, Sweden. His rigorous academic training provided the technical depth necessary for his long-term success and continues to inform his work today.
