He earned a Master of Science in structural engineering from City College of New York, building on a bachelor's degree in engineering completed in his native India. In addition to his community endeavors with Keep Amarillo Clean, Mr. Yalamanchili is actively involved in charitable work through the Rotary Club of Amarillo as well as Rotary International. Though he has been honored throughout his community and beyond, family remains central to Mr. Yalamanchili's sense of accomplishment. Happily married and a proud father of two, he takes great pride in the close-knit relationships among his two sons, both of whom have established careers in medicine — one as an associate professor at Texas Tech University and the other as a medical director at Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital. Both sons are married to physicians, further extending the family's legacy of service in health care. He is also a grandfather to four grandchildren aged 22, 18, 15 and 12 years old, respectively.

A cancer survivor who was diagnosed with leukemia five years ago, Mr. Yalamanchili values maintaining an active lifestyle and intends to continue prioritizing his health as he looks ahead with optimism.
