By auditing facilities within his assigned region and supporting audits of the downtown crisis unit, he plays a pivotal role in ensuring full compliance and the highest standards of client care. His commitment to operational excellence is further demonstrated by his regular visits to assess the performance of each location and deliver training sessions as needed.

Securing the regional director position stands as Mr. Schmegner's proudest achievement to date. During his first year with The Wood Group, he engaged in discussions with the company's chief executive officer regarding advancement opportunities. Although it was suggested that he could be prepared for higher roles within five to seven years, he surpassed expectations by attaining the regional director role in just four years.

Prior to reaching his current position, Mr. Schmegner served as an administrator and qualified mental health professional at The Wood Group from 2021 to 2025. Managing daily operations, he provided direct support to clients and contributed to the development of effective care strategies within the organization.

Mr. Schmegner is also a successful entrepreneur and business owner, having established SkyWolf Industries, now called HimmelsWolf, in 2017. Through this venture, he offers a wide range of health and wellness products within the sports nutrition, vitamin supplements, home essentials, and beauty and skincare sectors.

From 2019 to 2021, Mr. Schmegner worked as a claim technician at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. In this capacity, he processed insurance claims and ensured full accuracy in all documentation while maintaining consistent client communications.

Mr. Schmegner's earlier experience includes serving as an account operations manager at ResultsCX from 2017 to 2019, during which he oversaw client accounts across the technology, retail, banking and health care industries and managed operational workflows to enhance customer satisfaction.

Beginning his health care journey as a pharmacy clerk at Trott's Call Field Drug in Wichita Falls from 2015 to 2016, Mr. Schmegner assisted with prescription processing and customer inquiries while complying with state-wide standards for cleanliness, gaining invaluable operational knowledge of the health care industry.

During the early stages of his career, Mr. Schmegner also pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Midwestern State University in 2018. To augment his knowledge and qualifications, he is currently certified in Adult CPR by The American National Red Cross, and in Mental Health First Aid by Helen Farabee Centers. Furthermore, he was certified in Illness Management and Recovery (IMR), and obtained a certificate in Cognitive Adaptation Training (CAT), both from UT Health San Antonio.

Raised in Rochester, a small town in Texas with fewer than 300 residents, Mr. Schmegner spent much of his childhood with his mother while visiting his father every other weekend. Attending elementary school locally before going on to graduate from Haskell High School instilled in him the belief that ambitious goals are attainable regardless of one's origins or resources.

Reflecting on his storied journey thus far, Mr. Schmegner attributes his success to maintaining a positive mindset and viewing every hardship as an opportunity for growth. His ambitious outlook and problem-solving approach have enabled him to overcome challenges by seeking solutions independently or collaborating with others who offer guidance.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Mr. Schmegner is happily married to his wife Brandi and enjoys creative hobbies such as photography, drawing, journaling and writing. He also dedicates time to caring for his autistic brother and continues to value his family connections deeply.

Looking to the future, Mr. Schmegner aims to scale his business ventures with HimmelsWolf while expanding mental health care services within the private sector. His goal is to develop step-down or group home programs that are capable of serving broad populations on a national scale.
