The founding of RaynG was inspired by Dr. Butler's transformative experience with hospitalization and partial hospitalization programs. These experiences provided him with profound insight into the critical importance of mental health support and advocacy.

Since 2020, Dr. Butler has also served as a pharmacy manager and mental health advocate at Kaiser Permanente in Georgia. In this role, he has been instrumental in fostering a positive workplace culture that is widely recognized as the best place to work within the organization. His leadership philosophy emphasizes treating staff as teammates while maintaining operational excellence and ensuring that employees' experiences are positive.

Dr. Butler's dedication to exceptional customer service was recognized in April 2025 when he received the Employee of the Month award at his Kaiser Permanente facility. This honor was bestowed upon him after he went above and beyond his duties during inclement weather to ensure a patient received necessary medication, exemplifying his unwavering commitment to patient care.

Additionally, Dr. Butler has held the position of pharmacy operations manager at Kaiser Permanente since 2019, where he manages complex pharmacy operations and supports clinical initiatives aimed at improving medication adherence and patient education. From 2016 to 2019, he contributed as a staff pharmacist at Kaiser Permanente, providing direct patient counseling and medication therapy management services.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Butler served as a pharmacy manager at CVS Health from 2014 to 2015, where he gained valuable experience overseeing daily pharmacy operations and leading teams in a high-volume retail environment. His professional journey began as a managed care intern at VIVA Health in Alabama in 2013.

Throughout his career, Dr. Butler has developed expertise in pharmacy management, medication therapy management, clinical pharmacy practice, patient education, medication adherence strategies and counseling. He is highly regarded for his ability to integrate clinical knowledge with compassionate care.

Dr. Butler's academic foundation includes a Doctorate of Pharmacy from the Harrison School of Pharmacy at Auburn University, earned in 2014, and a Bachelor of Science in biomedical sciences from Auburn University, earned in 2011. He also holds several professional certifications, including Board-certified Medication Therapy Management Specialist from the National Board of Medication Therapy Management, obtained in 2025, as well as pharmacy licenses from the Georgia Board of Pharmacy in 2015 and the Alabama Board of Pharmacy in 2014.

Early in his professional journey, Dr. Butler's commitment to leadership was evident when he became first-year president of Phi Delta Chi Professional Pharmaceutical Fraternity, a rare accomplishment that led his chapter to receive Chapter of the Year honors for the first and only time in its history. He is also an active member of the Phi Lambda Sigma Pharmacy Leadership Society, the Alabama Pharmacy Association, the Student National Pharmaceutical Association — where he served as fundraising chair — and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.

Outside his professional pursuits, Dr. Butler has been civically engaged as a Reach & Rise mentor with the YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta since 2025. In his personal life, he enjoys singing, writing, playing piano, reading and spending time in nature.

Looking ahead, Dr. Butler intends to expand RaynG into an umbrella organization dedicated to spreading mental health awareness and positivity through diverse partnerships focused on grooming, romance, affordable housing and support for homeless populations.
