MIDLOTHIAN, VA, April 15, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert Jones has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Jones' distinguished 20-year career in engineering is marked by a series of progressive roles and significant achievements, all reflecting his expertise and dedication to the field. Most recently, he served as an engineering consultant and co-founder of Jones, Jones, & Jones Inc., a family venture he established with his two brothers. The company operated for approximately one year, with his leadership and technical acumen proving vital in its foundation and operations.

Prior to beginning his consulting work, Mr. Jones spent 13 years at Philip Morris USA, where he held positions as a senior engineer and engineering project manager across three locations. His final project at Philip Morris involved the launch of an engineering standards program that successfully consolidated the company's existing standards into five organized categories. Throughout his time there, he was recognized for consistently meeting deadlines and ensuring successful project completions without overruns.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Jones joined E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company's Engineering Service Division in Newark, Delaware upon graduating from Tuskegee University (formerly Tuskegee Institute). He began his tenure as lead engineer on a major project in Richmond, Virginia. During this time, he was pivotal in a $40 million Nomex expansion project that doubled production capacity. Then he was transferred to a fabrics and finishes plant in Parlin, New Jersey for critical field engineering assignments. At Parlin, he contributed significantly to the development of exothermic reactors' emissions control systems, an accomplishment he regards as one of his proudest professional milestones. His exemplary performance led to a career transition to the company's Savannah River site, where he served as an "Engineer A" and "Shift Supervisor" within nuclear weapons-oriented Project and Separations Departments that required top secret clearance.

Mr. Jones' professional journey began following his service in the United States Air Force, where he was stationed at L.G. Hanscom Field in Bedford, Massachusetts and later at Hahn AFB, Germany. Initially assigned to police squadrons, he later pursued his passion for drafting by enrolling in and completing the Air Force Drafting Specialist course. This experience laid the groundwork for his first civilian position at Rotating Components in Bayshore and Brentwood, New York, where he illustrated and created blueprints for motors, fans, blowers, and other rotating devices.

In addition to his technical work, Mr. Jones demonstrated his long-standing versatility through assignments in customer service and telemarketing at JCPenney, where he earned over 15 Customer Service Awards for exceptional performance.

Alongside his primary roles, Mr. Jones has contributed his industry knowledge as a longtime member of organizations such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineering, Richmond Engineering Club, the American Management Association, and the American Consultants League.

Mr. Jones' academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Tuskegee University, earned in 1972. Immediately after military service, he was accepted to study art at Clark College in Atlanta, Georgia. His determination to succeed—despite early challenges in pursuing the art he had loved since elementary school—was strengthened by the encouragement of Tuskegee Institute's dean of engineering, whose support became a pivotal influence on his path. Alongside his degree he was recognized with an Engineering Graphics at Tuskegee Institute, reflecting early distinction in technical drawing and design. He has earned certifications that further sharpened his technical expertise and contributed significantly to his career success. Additionally, he completed a series of Radio Shack technical-training certifications, rigorous in their focus on practical electronics, product systems, and customer-facing technology. These credentials underscored his dedication to mastering tools and techniques that shaped modern consumer technology.

Recognized for his impact from an early stage of his career, Mr. Jones was selected for inclusion in Who's Who in 1981-1982 and 1982-1983. Reflecting on his storied journey, he is especially grateful for the guidance of his high school teacher, Mrs. Moses, who encouraged him to take the United States Air Force exam when he was unsure of his future plans. This decision ultimately set him on an international path, leading him to pursue further education and find his calling in engineering.

On a personal level, Mr. Jones remains dedicated to creative pursuits, including art and is currently creating vibrant illustrations for a book based on personal narratives written by his grand-niece in elementary school class. He has been happily married to his wife, Shirley, since 1968, and is an exemplar within his family, having encouraged four engineers across two family branches to pursue successful careers of their own in the field.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Jones aims to continue his consulting work while collaborating closely with his brother on land patents — a field that holds potential significance for individual landowners. His life and career exemplify resilience, adaptability and excellence across multiple disciplines as he continues to epitomize a legacy of helping others through everything he does.
