CARLSBAD, CA, April 15, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Josh Rathweg has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Rathweg's professional journey reflects a dynamic transition from athletics to business leadership, marked by resilience and a competitive spirit shaped by his early passion for soccer. After a promising athletic career at The Ohio State University was cut short by a knee injury, he redirected his drive into the business world, applying the principles of commitment and continuous improvement learned on the field.
In 2025, Mr. Rathweg assumed the role of President, chief executive officer and entrepreneur at Cloudbound. In this capacity, he has focused on developing resources for parents of young children and expanding the brand's reach through franchise opportunities. Concurrently, he founded Presence on Purpose in 2025, where he shares his leadership framework with aspiring leaders and established executives alike, emphasizing purposeful presence and thoughtful decision-making.
Since 2017, Mr. Rathweg has served as a franchise owner with Sky Zone, where his leadership has been recognized through several distinctions. He was named Franchise Partner of the Year twice, in 2022 and 2024, among all Sky Zone franchise owners nationwide. In 2023, he was selected as Brand Ambassador, representing Sky Zone at major events and conventions. His peers across the United States voted him into this role, reflecting their trust in his vision and engagement. Additionally, he has chaired the Franchise Advisory Council since 2021, fostering collaboration between franchise owners and corporate teams.
Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, Mr. Rathweg served as the Chief Operating Officer at Fitsyn from 2020 to 2021, overseeing operational strategy during a period of organizational growth. Between 2015 and 2019, he was Executive Director, Market Director of Banking at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he led regional teams and was repeatedly recognized as a national achiever, an honor reserved for the top ten percent of leaders in the company.
Mr. Rathweg's earlier roles at JPMorgan Chase & Co. included first vice president and district manager from 2009 to 2015 and vice president and branch manager between 2005 and 2009. He began his financial services career as an assistant branch manager at Huntington National Bank in 2004.
Throughout his career, Mr. Rathweg has contributed to industry organizations and advisory groups. He served as co-chair of the California South V.E.T.S. Business Resource Group from 2013 to 2017 and as recruiting and events chair for the Greater Heights Chamber of Commerce between 2008 and 2009. He is also an active member of the leadership committee for the International Trampoline Association.
Mr. Rathweg's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial studies from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business. He credits his credibility as a leader not only to measurable results but also to his consistent presence in every situation, a philosophy shaped by his parents' steadfast support throughout his youth and by Michael Jordan's renowned work ethic.
Outside his professional commitments, Mr. Rathweg has served on the board of trustees of Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego — the second-largest chapter in the United States — since 2024 and currently chairs its strategic planning committee. He previously contributed as an executive committee member from 2019 to 2020.
At Rady Children's Hospital Foundation, the largest children's hospital on the West Coast, Mr. Rathweg has been a board member since 2018 and maintains a corporate partnership dating back to 2013. Additionally, he volunteers with organizations such as the Wounded Warrior Project.
Among Mr. Rathweg's proudest achievements is nurturing young leaders with strong character and leadership skills, an accomplishment he values above personal accolades. As one of the youngest brand presidents in his field, he is distinguished by his high level of engagement with his team during the formative years of his career rather than in later stages.
In his personal life, Mr. Rathweg is dedicated to supporting his family. He enjoys spending time with his two daughters, actively participating in their cheerleading competitions by helping with hair and makeup, and cherishes outdoor activities and movie nights together. As an "all-in" father, he fully supports their passions.
Looking ahead, Mr. Rathweg seeks to expand Cloudbound into a leading resource for parents nationwide while inviting other entrepreneurs to join this mission through franchising opportunities across the United States. Through Presence on Purpose, he aims to empower thousands of individuals, including aspiring leaders and accomplished chief executive officers, to achieve success by applying purposeful presence in their personal and professional lives.
