This interim responsibility allowed him to lead management initiatives, ensuring seamless operations while gaining valuable experience in both sales and finance functions. In recognition of his outstanding work on the customer product line profit-and-loss project, he was presented with the Finance High Impact Award in 2025.

Prior to joining KIND, Mr. Fayad spent more than a decade at Mondelez International, where he advanced through several key positions. As the senior finance manager for financial planning and supply chain analysis in North America from 2020 to 2021, he led critical projects focused on optimizing supply chain costs and enhancing operational efficiency across the continent.

From 2017 to 2020, Mr. Fayad served as an integrated supply chain finance manager at Mondelez, where he oversaw cost structures at both plant and regional levels. He was deeply involved in global supply chain streamlining projects that required cross-functional collaboration with legal, engineering, research and development and strategy teams.

One of Mr. Fayad's most notable achievements during this time was co-leading a major supply chain restructuring project following his transition from Illinois to New Jersey to join Mondelez North America's head office. The project involved transforming underperforming plants by transferring volume to advanced facilities equipped with autonomous systems and Lean Six Sigma programs while investing in a robust co-manufacturing network. Over the course of a year, he built comprehensive business cases and contingency plans that resulted in approximately $100 million in annual savings for the company. This initiative earned global recognition for its performance and established his team as leaders in developing restructured supply chain agendas across North America.

Mr. Fayad's earlier roles at Mondelez International included serving as an integrated supply chain financial controller from 2015 to 2016 and as a cost analyst, senior cost accountant and managerial analyst at multiple sites in Alexandria, Egypt, from 2010 to 2014. In these capacities, he honed his skills in cost management accounting — an area that became a central focus of his career — by handling costs at both operational and strategic levels.

Mr. Fayad had the opportunity to explore a variety of cultures through assignments across Europe and Asia, focusing on system implementation and finance transformation. These experiences not only broadened his perspective but also allowed him to gain unique insights into global business practices and local nuances.

Mr. Fayad began his professional journey as an auditor at the tax and advisory firm KPMG from 2009 to 2010. He credits this experience with providing him a holistic understanding of diverse business systems through frequent client engagements as well as exposure to the financial and auditing industries.

Alongside his primary achievements, Mr. Fayad has also been recognized for his innovative contributions. Notably, he developed a customer stock keeping unit (SKU) product line profit and loss model that enabled more granular analysis of profitability by customer, country, brand and product line — a breakthrough that empowered faster decision making within his organization. This project earned him high recognition from peers and contributed significantly to improved business and customer outcomes.

Mr. Fayad's academic background includes a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from the Faculty of Commerce at Alexandria University in Egypt, which he completed in 2008. To augment his qualifications, he was certified as a management accountant by the Institute of Management Accountants in 2011 — a credential that encompasses finance, economics, costing and accounting disciplines.
