Mr. Glass has built a distinguished career in strength and conditioning, spanning over four decades, with more than 30 years of dedicated service at Oklahoma State University. He currently serves as the assistant athletic director for speed, strength and conditioning at his alma mater, where he has been a central figure in the success of the university's athletic programs.
At the outset of his career, Mr. Glass was a graduate assistant at Oklahoma State in 1986 and became head strength coach in 1989, a role he held until 1995. He then spent nearly a decade at the University of Florida, first as coordinator and later as the director of strength and conditioning, before returning to Oklahoma State in 2005. Throughout his career, he has worked with numerous elite athletes, including two Heisman Trophy winners, multiple first-round NFL draft picks, All-Americans and Olympians.
In 2002, Mr. Glass was recognized as a Master Strength and Conditioning Coach by the National Conference of Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, one of the highest honors in the field. He is also a member of the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association and the American Football Coaches Association, reflecting his commitment to advancing best practices in athletic performance.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Glass pursued higher education. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Oklahoma State University in 1984, laying the foundation for his leadership in collegiate athletics. His career has been marked by a dedication to athlete development, innovation in training and a legacy of mentoring future leaders in strength and conditioning.
Reflecting on his career, Mr. Glass attributes much of his success to the invaluable mentorship he received from some of the most respected coaches in college athletics, many of whom are members of their respective halls of fame. He considers himself fortunate to have learned from these exemplary figures and has consistently sought to absorb knowledge from every opportunity presented throughout his career.
Born in Ponca City, Mr. Glass values time spent outdoors hunting and fishing, as well as enjoying moments with family. Looking ahead, he aims to conclude his career by making a meaningful impact on student-athletes and supporting them in achieving their goals, a mission that continues to guide his work both on and off the field.
