Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Porcello-Giusto has established a distinguished career as an attorney, demonstrating more than three decades of expertise in family law, child custody, alimony and divorce. Since 1993, she has served as an attorney at Porcello Law Offices, where her leadership and commitment to the legal profession have been evident through her extensive court appearances and her dedication to client relationships. Ms. Porcello-Giusto works closely with a team of six attorneys, including her brother, Anthony S. Porcelloa, full-time paralegal, and three law clerks. Her role encompasses not only legal representation but also the mentorship and training of emerging legal professionals.

Throughout her tenure at Porcello Law Offices, Ms. Porcello-Giusto has taken particular pride in mentoring young lawyers and law clerks. She has guided numerous associates who have gone on to achieve significant milestones in their own careers. Her senior associate, who joined the firm in June 2006, is currently engaged in trial work that reflects the rigorous training received under Ms. Porcello-Giusto's supervision during law school. Another associate, has secured both a trial victory and a successful appeal during her seven to eight years with the firm. During the pandemic, Ms. Porcello-Giusto adapted her practice to remote work with the assistance of a newly hired law student who has since become an accomplished attorney. She also trained another associate whose transformation from a reserved newcomer to a formidable courtroom presence stands as a testament to Ms. Porcello-Giusto's mentorship. Additionally, she collaborates with her brother on estate matters, ensuring compassionate service for clients facing challenging circumstances. The development of her law clerks and the contributions of her new paralegals further underscore her commitment to fostering talent within the legal field.

Ms. Porcello-Giusto's professional affiliations reflect her standing in the legal community. She serves as President of the Salem Bar Association. She holds positions on the Board of Directors for both the North Shore Women's Lawyers Association and Salem Five's Board of Corporators. She is also a former member of the Board of Directors for the Essex County Bar Association. These roles highlight her influence and dedication to advancing legal practice and supporting fellow attorneys.

Her academic background laid a strong foundation for her career achievements. Ms. Porcello-Giusto earned a Juris Doctorate from the Massachusetts School of Law in 1993, as part of one of its inaugural graduating classes. Her educational journey began at Melrose High School, where she graduated in 1978. Ms. Porcello-Giusto is particularly proud of the fact that she graduated from St. Mary of the Annunciation School in Melrose, Massachusetts.

The values instilled by Ms. Porcello-Giusto's parents and her paternal grandfather, Salvatore Porcello, played a pivotal role in shaping her character and professional ethos. Growing up in Melrose, Massachusetts, during the 1960s, she learned self-reliance and responsibility as one of three siblings raised by hardworking parents-her father, A. John Porcello, returned to law school while raising young children, and her mother, Dora T. Porcello, was among the few working women in their neighborhood at that time. Salvatore Porcello was a self made man who believed in hard work and the American dream and instilled that in his granddaughter. Despite financial challenges, Ms. Porcello-Giusto credits her parochial school education for fostering discipline and takes pride in skills such as personalized cursive penmanship that have been recognized throughout her life.

She enjoys traveling to the Turks and Caicos Islands and spending time with a close-knit circle of friends there, a tradition spanning more than 27 years. Looking ahead, Ms. Porcello-Giusto remains dedicated to ensuring that all current law clerks under her guidance receive comprehensive training in family law and estate planning. Hence, they are fully prepared for successful legal careers. Her ongoing mission is to uphold excellence within her practice while nurturing the next generation of attorneys with the same integrity and diligence that have defined her own professional journey.
