Since 2024, she has overseen the safety and security of two major facilities located in Mobile and Fairhope, Alabama, collectively employing 400 individuals. Her responsibilities include developing and conducting monthly training sessions to ensure compliance with safety protocols and fostering a secure work environment. She is also dedicated to supporting employees who experience workplace injuries, guiding them through their recovery process and facilitating their return to work when they are able. In addition to her managerial duties, she leads the first responder team at Continental Aerospace Technologies, managing and training a group of 24 first responders, and is the President of the Culture Crew.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Thomley held the position of environmental health safety specialist at Continental Aerospace Technologies in 2024, where she contributed to the development and implementation of comprehensive safety programs. That same year, she served as environmental, health, and safety manager at SEAPAC, further honing her expertise in industrial safety management.

In 2023, Ms. Thomley was an environment, health and safety manager at both Drax Group and Drax Biomass. There, she was responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting safe practices in the production of wood pellets for export to power plants. Her earlier experience includes serving as a safety compliance officer at UniFirst First Aid + Safety in 2022.

Ms. Thomley's earlier tenures include her work in safety at SSAB, SSAB Steel Mill and Elite Industrial Services. Her foundational experience stems from her service as an emergency medical technician at Mobile County EMS from 2016 to 2020 and as a technician in the Providence Emergency Department during the same period. These roles provided her with firsthand exposure to emergency response situations and laid the groundwork for her subsequent transition into industrial safety.

Throughout her career, Ms. Thomley has distinguished herself as an expert in emergency response and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations. Her journey into management is particularly notable given that most professionals in her field possess formal degrees specific to safety management. Instead, Ms. Thomley's advancement was driven by her extensive hands-on experience as a first responder within industrial settings—performing high-angle rescues at steel mills and responding to medical emergencies—which earned her recognition from employers who valued practical expertise over traditional academic credentials.

Ms. Thomley credits much of her success to these years as a first responder—a period during which she encountered numerous challenging situations that inspired her to pursue proactive measures for injury prevention rather than solely responding after incidents occurred. A pivotal moment came during her time at the steel mill when she realized that focusing on workplace safety could allow her to make a meaningful difference by preventing harm before it happened. This realization fueled her passion for occupational health and safety.

Educationally, Ms. Thomley's background includes an advanced emergency medical technician certification with a focus on crisis, emergency and disaster management from Fortis College in Mobile in 2019. She also holds an emergency services technician certification from Faulkner State Community College, earned in 2015. Additional professional certifications include HAZWOPER, OSHA 30 Construction and OSHA 30 General Industry, and Six Sigma Yellow Belt.

Beyond her professional commitments, Ms. Thomley was civically engaged as a volunteer firefighter with the Stapleton Volunteer Fire Department. She also supports fundraising events for homeless shelters and special education homes through Queens with Dreams Inc., based in Mobile, Alabama. In her personal life, she enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors.

Ms. Thomley encourages others to prioritize safety in every setting: at home, at work and while commuting.
