From 2016 to 2022, Mr. Simon held the position of director of Canadian scouting and personnel assistant with the BC Lions. He was responsible for identifying emerging talent across Canada and supporting the team's personnel decisions. Concurrently, from 2015 to 2022, he contributed to football and business development for the BC Lions, helping expand the organization's reach and fostering relationships that enhanced both on-field performance and off-field business initiatives.

Mr. Simon's professional journey also includes his time as a player and team ambassador for the Saskatchewan Roughriders from 2013 to 2015. In this dual role, he not only competed at a high level but also represented the organization through community outreach.

His most celebrated years as a player were with the BC Lions from 2001 to 2013. During this period, Mr. Simon achieved remarkable success, securing three Grey Cup championships in 2006, 2011 and 2013. He was named Most Outstanding Player in 2006, an honor equivalent to league Most Valuable Player recognition. His contributions were further acknowledged with his induction into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 2017.

Earlier in his athletic career, Mr. Simon played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers from 1999 to 2000 and began his professional journey with NFL Enterprises LLC from 1997 to 1998.

Mr. Simon earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of Maryland in College Park in 1997. The discipline and determination cultivated during his academic pursuits have been foundational to his achievements both on and off the field. He credits his upbringing in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, for instilling values of positivity and resilience, which have guided him throughout his career as an athlete and executive.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Simon is deeply committed to civic engagement. In 2015, he co-founded Game Ready Elite 7-on-7 in Vancouver with the mission of providing underprivileged youth opportunities to develop their football skills and compete against teams across the Pacific Northwest. The program regularly travels to cities such as Seattle, Las Vegas and Los Angeles, offering participants exposure that can lead to college scholarships and expanded horizons within North American football.

His accolades include being named Most Outstanding Player in 2006, winning three Grey Cups as a player and being inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.

On a personal level, Mr. Simon was born in Johnstown and is dedicated to serving as a positive example for future generations. He enjoys playing golf, pickleball and fishing during his leisure time.
