Before launching The Blissful Writer, Ms. Fletchall began serving as a senior career and executive coach at Ascend Careers & Life Strategies in 2022, where she provides tailored guidance to clients seeking advancement or transition in their professional lives. She is also a freelance remote senior career and executive coach, as well as an outplacement coach, with Kaleidoscope Compass LLC, a role she has held since 2015. Ms. Fletchall's expertise was previously recognized during her tenure as strategic adviser for leadership and human resources at the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Interior from 2010 to 2014. In this role, she played a pivotal part as the Strategic Advisor and Leadership for the Abu Dhabi government.
A defining achievement in Ms. Fletchall's career occurred between 2007 and 2010 when she oversaw the talent management and assessment center at the Public Administration Directorate of the United Arab Emirates General Secretariat. She led the creation and establishment of a state-of-the-art assessment center in the Abu Dhabi desert, commissioned by the United Arab Emirates government. Tasked with designing and implementing comprehensive assessment programs for leaders in both the Abu Dhabi government and police department, Ms. Fletchall oversaw classroom-based assessments in mathematics, English language skills, and other competencies, as well as experiential assessment camps equipped with advanced facilities. By personally assessing approximately 10,000 individuals through this initiative, she ensured that the center continues to serve the Emirati government in various capacities.
During her time in the United Arab Emirates, Ms. Fletchall also served as an American warden during the September 11th attacks in 2001. In this critical role, she was responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all American citizens in the region while coordinating with top Emirati leadership.
Before her international work, Ms. Fletchall served as Acting Deputy Director of Human Resources and Communications at the Idaho National Laboratory in Idaho Falls from 2006 to 2007. There, she contributed to the organization's newly merged human resources department, overseeing daily leadership and operational functions.
Ms. Fletchall's entry into career coaching followed her early career as a police officer, a path she left after recognizing that law enforcement did not align with her personal values or family responsibilities. While raising two sons as a single mother, she decided to pursue education in human resources and discovered a passion for developing talent and guiding others through career transitions.
Ms. Fletchall's academic background has been instrumental in her professional success. She graduated from California Coast University with a Bachelor of Science in management, a Master of Business Administration in management with a focus on human resources, and an a.b.d. Doctor of Philosophy in Management with an emphasis in organizational development and organizational effectiveness. These academic achievements provided her with a robust foundation for her work in leadership development, talent management, and executive coaching. She has numerous certifications as a Level A & B Assessor for psychological assessments, quality management, talent management, human resources, and numerous training models. Ms. Fletchall's commitment to continuous learning has included certification in photography from the New York Institute of Photography; certification as a global training professional from the Institute of HR Management Education; serving as a senior SCORE mentor with SCORE.org; serving as a senior mentor with MicroMentor; and completion of Nonprofit Essentials from NonprofitReady.org.
Ms. Fletchall has been affiliated with the International Association of Professional Coaches, the Organization Development Network, and the Association for Talent Development.
