DAVIDSONVILLE, MD, May 26, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Martiel Beatty has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Beatty is a distinguished, visionary entrepreneur and expert in marketing strategy; most recently as the founder of GivMoo, an innovative online retailer and fundraising platform incorporated in 2025. GivMoo operates as a for-profit wholesaler and distributor, uniquely serving as a marketplace exclusively for nonprofit organizations. The platform enables nonprofits to act as sellers, providing them with a sustainable fundraising channel akin to a major e-commerce site but tailored to the needs of charitable organizations.
Since its inception, Ms. Beatty has been instrumental in every aspect of GivMoo's development, from conducting seed funding investor raises to overseeing strategy, operations, hiring, marketing and training. She is transitioning into a more management-focused role, guiding the company's growth and ensuring its mission-driven approach remains at the forefront.
Prior to founding GivMoo, Ms. Beatty co-founded Spaces of Pride, where she served as the head of strategy and marketing for two years. Spaces of Pride operated on a large scale, collaborating with prominent organizations as the exclusive online and at-the-event merchandise partner for events such as WorldPride. As one of three owners, she played a pivotal role in shaping the company's direction until her partners decided to discontinue the venture. The experience provided Ms. Beatty with valuable insights into event-based fundraising and large-scale organizational partnerships.
Before her tenure at Spaces of Pride, Ms. Beatty was the founder and chief executive officer of MB Branding Solutions from 2010 to 2025. Under her leadership, the agency grew from a solo enterprise into a thriving business with 30 employees across 3 continents and in 9 timezones. In late 2024, she sold her assets to MB Branding Solutions in a transaction that exceeded her expectations and marked the pinnacle of her entrepreneurial achievements. This milestone stands out as one of her most significant accomplishments, reflecting her ability to build and scale successful ventures from the ground up.
Earlier, Ms. Beatty held the position of vice president of marketing at Landmarks Digital from 2019 to 2021, where she further honed her expertise in digital marketing strategies and campaign execution for diverse clients. Her entrepreneurial journey began with The ARTcademy, an online art community and e-commerce platform she founded in 2010 and led until 2018. As an artist and multi-potentialite, Ms. Beatty fostered creative collaboration and provided artists with opportunities to showcase their work in an innovative digital environment
Ms. Beatty's academic background is both extensive and interdisciplinary. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy in applied anthropology and geography from Columbia University in New York City in 2013, following both a Master of Applied Anthropology and a Master of Science in geography from the University of Maryland in College Park in 2010. Her undergraduate studies at New Mexico State University culminated in two degrees: a Bachelor of Arts in applied anthropology and a Bachelor of Arts in French, awarded in 2008.
The inspiration for GivMoo dates back to 2008, during Ms. Beatty's service with AmeriCorps VISTA at Habitat for Humanity. At a service event that year, she received "Century of the City: No Time to Lose," published by the Rockefeller Foundation. The book's exploration of urbanization and its impact on community connections deeply influenced Ms. Beatty's vision for leveraging technology to transform fundraising models. Throughout her career, Ms. Beatty has maintained strong civic involvement and contributed to numerous organizations dedicated to community betterment.
Ms. Beatty's commitment to service is further demonstrated by her role as an AmeriCorps VISTA leader at Habitat for Humanity International from 2009 to 2010 and as a VISTA member at Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County from 2008 to 2010. During this time, she also contributed as a guest speaker for Hands on Network between 2009 and 2010 and participated in Habitat for Humanity International's conference call series from 2008 to 2010. Earlier in her career, she served as a student mentor with the DC College Success Foundation from 2005 to 2008.
Born in Delta, Colorado, Ms. Beatty grew up on a ranch in western Colorado, a formative experience that instilled resilience and resourcefulness from an early age. A lifelong swimmer since a young age, she competed on swim teams from until 2021 before turning her attention to learning to sail. She enjoys creating art using fiber-based materials and cherishes time spent with her pets.
Looking ahead, Ms. Beatty envisions GivMoo as more than just a workplace; she aims to cultivate an environment where employees find daily fulfillment while advancing an ambitious mission. By disrupting traditional retail models and eschewing unnecessary financial overhead, GivMoo is structured so that all retail profits benefit nonprofit vendors directly through donations ranging from 20% to 50% per sale. Through this innovative approach, Ms. Beatty is redefining fundraising practices across the United States by reconnecting individuals with their communities and empowering nonprofits with new avenues for support.
