Prior to this, he was Procurement Lead for the Petroleum Separation program at BHP, managing complex supplier transitions and commercial arrangements associated with a major global asset separation.

Earlier in his career, Mr Rewal held senior leadership roles across global organisations, including Director, Client Business Unit at Orange Business Services, and Consultant in Enterprise Global Category Management at BHP in Singapore. He also served as Chief Procurement Officer at International SOS and as Chief Procurement Officer and Director, ICT Procurement at the Department of Premier and Cabinet in the Victorian Government, where he contributed to whole of government procurement reform initiatives.

His broader experience includes senior executive roles at BHP and Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, where he led global procurement functions and transformation programs across multiple regions.

Across his career, Mr Rewal has led large scale procurement reform, complex outsourcing programs and high value commercial negotiations, including whole of government telecommunications reform delivering $129 million in savings, while strengthening governance and operational performance.

Mr Rewal holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from RMIT University and a Bachelor of Science from Monash University and is a Certified Purchasing Manager.

Mr Rewal attributes his success to a practical, outcome focused approach to commercial and procurement challenges. He is known for addressing underlying business issues rather than relying on traditional sourcing processes, consistently aligning commercial strategies with broader organisational objectives.
